Where are they? And how far are they from Eastern kingdoms, Broken Isles or Kul Tiras?
Dragon Island is a small privately owned island just outside Harataonga Bay, on the northeast coast of Great Barrier Island, located 95 kilometres (59 mi) to the northeast of Auckland, in New Zealand.
jk
if they plan to make it rhyme with ancient legends then early concept theory crafting should be right:
but since the current lore is in the hands of… personnel who is into making weird experiments… they can place it anywhere on the map hue hue.
On cinematic we saw, there was a green storm, which might be Eastern Kingdoms or Kul Tiras that the storm got a lot of Areas in most of the kilometres
That was actually all of the continents (apart from the Dragon Isles obviously), that scene in the trailer is of the War of the Ancients, back when all the continents were still attached to eachother, before the sundering.
Tbf given the dragon isle’s was never even mentioned in game until Island expeditions in BFA, yeah they can put it where ever lol.
I’m actually hoping it’s on the other side of the planet or something and that’s why they’re being so secretive about it.
Blizzard had a plan for it as a raid as far back as vanilla content, and an appropriate location had already been chosen.
Of course they can chose a random point on the map and you can be happy about it, but it will be a mistake in the eye who pays attention to details.
Just because an idea existed before doesn’t mean it was necessarily good. I am happy they retconned Draenei into exiled Eredar for example instead of continuing with their wc3 iteration.
I anticipate profane understanding of the story being told from players, its not a surprise you see no difference at all.
But new developers should not ruin the great work and of original passionate crew for the sake of some plebian extraordinary mouth wide open moment.
SW sequels are the testament to the motion that changing fundamental pillars in story design breaks it into hot trash and doesnt constitute originality in any way.
We will see soon which way they plan to ride it. For me it can be either a sign of hope or another fat brick at the blizzard tombstone.
May you be heard.
Hoped the Dragon Isles would be a magical floating island somewhere. Bit like Pandaria but instead shrouded by clouds or something. But not complaining, so far it looks amazing.
10000 years on the other side of the road and nobody ever saw it.
East of Northrend and North of Quel’thalas most likely.
