I think they are just two different games like my opinion
FF14 is an RPGmmo
WoW is an MMOrpg
FF14 is all about your personal character progression through a in depth storyline so its more like playing an rpg but with multiplayer features
WoW is all about the massively Multiplayer where you decide what you want to do and focuses more on social things like dungeon grouping, raids etc like the quests are all random stories and its all about maxing your guy and clearing raids
WoW has more pvp focused than FF14
The first expansion can be compared to wow classic its slow you need to do the main story in ff14 and its a long grind and pretty boring just like levelling to 60 in wow classic

There is just something about WoW, that it feels very crisp compared to the opposition. Probably because it is simple in graphics and gameplay. The same goes for counter strike and itâs competitors.
Feels like other games are trying too much and it just doesnât hold together. Just my opinion of course. I have the feeling that asmongold is not gonna stick with FF after playing it through.

I tried it again yesterday and today and it just feels so clunky man. Slow, the camera feels super off and it just misses that x factor.
But I am glad there is some competition. I am sure WoW feels just as clunky for some as FF did for me.
Its not Classic altough its also going down the trashbin with all changes thats been made. Its Retail WoW and Shadowlands in general that doesnt feel rewarding/challenging anymore. Its the same stuff over and over again.
Asmonbald literally paid to promote a game = alliance dead. You heard it here first.

there is no #ad on his stream but i agree its the death of alliance with all the bad decisions activi$ion is doing
True retail is more of an Action Rpg now based around spamming buttons doing mechanics the social aspect is not really there anymore.
but as storytelling FF14>WoW some other things are up for debate i heard the global cd is 2.5 seconds in FF meaning it feels slower to play until late game where you can play classes that are mechanically very difficult.
Some positives iâve seen i like some abilites combo with others and do different things depending if your on the side of the mob or back etc so its not just all dps attacks from the same spot alot of running around the mobs doing rotations combos on weak spots pretty cool imo. I like that you donât need alts as you can do class quests unlocks the ability to be that class so u can be everything on the one character giving you do their class progression and have gear.
Negatives things fly that clearly shouldnât like bears,cars etc some mounts look ridiculous. The game starts slow and the main story quest early on feels like a grind until you get into the story. Map is confusing as everything has images you have no idea what it means and it doesnât really tell you. repeatable annoying chocobo music when you mount.
Correct, the PvP isnât the focus of FFXIV⌠so itâs not the best though

i like arenas and bgâs open world pvp is mostly never balanced in wow so all positives i guess.

Seeing he tweeted a while back, just as many other content creators, that he would try it I donât think this is the reason. Unless he has some insider knowledge

Actually itâs was because of belluargaming Iâm sure another huge wow content creator alot of them donât like the direction blizzard are going on their games mainly retail but now classic too they are leaving the game in droves.
Itâs not a good picture when people that play wow for job are making huge risks to switch to other games they obviously donât want to be stuck on a sinking ship.
Whether you like his content or not is irrelevant oh and the change blizzard done is exactly why players leave they donât have a clue
