i guess these are the same people who think the bfa and shadowlands systems are bad because they HAD to do ALL the quests and farm ALL of the azerite possible. and if they dont min/max everything, the world will end. but the facts are wow never required min/maxing.
there are many reasons to not like the systems and dailies, to each their own, but farming them like crazy, is not a normal reason to hate them.
Than vanilla classic maybe, but with BC the fights and classes grew in complexity, and yet the game became more popular.
Today we have 4 difficulties ranging from âYOU CAN LITERALLY GO AFKâ, to âyou will sufferâ, and yet some people claim the game is more difficult. No comment.
Which is why it sucked. Not everyone enjoys farming gear, some people want to progress, and see gating loot behind double RNG as a disgusting playtime extension mechanic.
Not necessarily, it could also mean that the players he took to that raid are worse players than those he did it with in previous expansions. I made that perfectly clear and as a main point in my reply.
Would like to see todays standard of raiders, almost completely without knowledge of the raid. Make a blast out of Ulduar hard modes full clear and TOC HC with the original difficulty
classes were more complex in bc then in vanilla (duh). but the raids was EASY. i pugged or lead pugged raids to every raid and we cleared everything easy.
that Shiva boss in BT was annoying and the council as well. but other than that, it was pretty easy.
Iâll just assume you ignore LFR as a âraidâ, since the difficulty of it would be 0. Normal mode today leaves way more room for failures and not knowing tactics than BC/WotLK which were full of oneshot mechanics if you didnât know what to do.
Anyway, too many delusions here for my taste, cheers.
Not really, lot of classes were 1-2 button rotations and bosses started having phases (in which they would use 1-2 new abilities). I mean yeah ot beats classic bosses in difficulty but not something I would call complex. As for the âyou can go afkâ difficulty that was pressent even in the classic era since raids back ythen were tuned for 25-40 people amd people were clearing them with way less.
I think this is a problem - any body who plays a game wants to win it. So why do you make it hard? How come the mystic duneeon and raid any more? So guild of friends can go in and lose and be elitist on each other how about MAKEthegameasy.
to be fair, Legion was 7 years ago and BFA was 5 years ago.
5-7 years ago i could do full runs as well. today i cant even do 4 dungeons for the weekly in one go. 2 is more than enough. i even die in timewalking and bad with mechanics.
Precisely those people. Wdym I shouldnât grind out Concordance of Legionfall buff TODAY? Iâm gonna squeeze every spare second and grind all day every day until I hate myself and become disgusted with the game, in a manner that was obviously never intended like how beating the Asylum Demon in Dark Souls with a broken sword was obviously never intended, but I can do it so Iâm gonna do it and itâs Blizzardâs fault for making me do it.
AP was a perfectly fine system in Legion where it was literally everywhere and not tied to specific separate activities such as Islands in BFA or Choreghast in SL, because it spiced up the activities you wouldâve been doing anyway and gave you constant progression with trait unlocks as bonuses.
Add in the obsessive compulsive brigade, and we canât have additional player power systems ever again, but considering we also canât have Wrath-MoP era badge vendors for deterministic gearing, now all progression is tied to RNG drops once youâve crafted 1 or maybe 2 pieces at the most. Gearing is better than SL for sure but nowhere near as good as say Cata or MoP.
i had no problems with BFA at all. it was a fun expansion. i never felt a NEED to grind for the azerite. i liked all the features so i had no problem collecting azerite and i didnt focus on it. i focus on the game and azerite came with it.
players who created a chore for themselves, hated it.
shadowlands is a different story. boreghast was a requirement. and the game was basically p2w.
Asmongold taking a bunch of randoes and wipping on normal only proves that A) he is getting rusty and/or B) his community is now full with people that are lookimg for a free boost.
Here is some actual proof of difficulty.
Mechanics on Raz normal
-dodge breath
-put pudles on edge
-donât get pushed over the platform
-Cc the orb
-kill the adds
-stack with your group
-nuke the shield
-move out with big circle
Normal Jaina (because she is the only end raid boss I remember) mechanics
-Do not use BL
-Dodge fire
-run away with ice
-clear ice stacks with fire
-use balistas
-kill adds
-dodge ice beam
-dodge ring of frost
-dont get separated from the group
-find and kill all mirror images of jaina
-use barrels to make fire so you can clear frost stacks
-kill the ice wall before you freeze
-kill watter elementals
As a new player i gotta admit, the raid is not hard.
Started WoW at this expansion ( played a bit in SL,but didnt even reach max lvl)
So in less then 3 weeks i got 8/8 normal and 5/8 HC all with pugs.
I personally have hard time with M+ groups, but thatâs another topic.
I donât think raid is hard,i think some classes are hard - or badly designed.
Im playing Ret Pala and my dps skyrocketed when i installed WA for my Dawn buff/when to spend Holy power.
And im not new on MMO world, played Aion for like 6-7 years, B&S etc. So itâs not my first rodeo with 2-3 skill bars.
I think majority of classes are designed badly,if not all - thatâs why everyone uses addons/WA for skills/buffs etc.
