yeah which is why they are bringing back master loot to help out their Dear lovely Child Mr MAximum , so this time they have a better shot at finding the right loot and having a more fair race againts the eu , not mentioning the 16 hour head start we are way past that point
Like all guilds asked for the last years for master loot. This has nothing to do with Max. You give him too much credits.

it has everything to do with max , who asked for MAsterloot ? i have a hard time tracking it , last i remember they removed masterloot cause community was sick of ppl stealing loot trials not getting loot guild masters girlfriend getting the loot ⌠and so on this could go for an hour ! there were an unbelieveable number of problems that came only with masterloot ( that will be back once this goes live ) and the only reason they are bringing it back is to even out the RNG factor between the two degen guilds
Are you aware masterloot is a choice? You can still play without it.
When it was removed the forums were all over it. You indeed seem to have a hard time tracking it.

Unpopular opinion but, raiding is becoming unfun because it has been using the same format since WoW came out.
After 16 years of playing WoW, I can join a mythic newly released mythic raid without addons and I would know what to expect, what I have to do and how to do it.
Think about it for a momentâŚ
Raid bosses usually consist of :-
1- Raidwide passive damage that make having healers a requirement
2- Non avoidable damage mechanic you have to deal with
3- Stand / Donât stand in areas
4- Positioning requirements ( stacking / using parts of the room / spreading etc )
5- Tank buster ability that causes you to need two tanks
6- A check mechanic ( Dispel/DPS/Interrupt rotation/burst certain thing/press button/fulfil requirement )
7- Adds and sometimes a priority target
8- Vehicle control ( Tanks/Cannon/Mindcontrol/Press buttons )
9- Enrage timer
10- Wipe mechanic
This has been going on for over 16 years, and anyone playing the game for a long time, knows its a reshuffle of this, but amped up +reinvented ( Square wheel/ Triangle wheel / circular wheel / eggshaped wheel etc ) and then nerfed to the ground to make it accessible the masses.
The raiding format needs to change, and the whole ideology behind it, Iâm no expert on how that should be done but I do have some pointers that I think can help.
1- Break the 3-role system
2- Make the fights more reactive, random and " live " than timer based and if X do Y or stick to plan.
3- Rework the raid boss philosophy, Currently bosses are based on tight execution, and mistakes usually result in wipes, rather mistakes should cause harm but not insta wipe/super hard to recover from
4- Reinvent how encounters are, rather than the usual raid tactics, I donât know how that would be, but I think Mogushan palace and SoO are a good start for how encounters can be different from what we are used to.
5- Remove cheesing, but introduce different ways to tackle the fight.
Eh? How do you propose that should be done?
Cheesing usually happens in two ways:
1- Either the players find a way to render an important part of the boss fight useless through special means (Think saronite bombs on the valkyries in the lich king fight or staying afk in one of garroshâs intermission phases)
Although the first type of cheesing is rare, it stills makes some fights just redundant, removing this is done by simply patching such cheeses out.
2- Or players get gear so good they can skip phases / important tactics.
While this is fine in the long run, nowadays players can overgear bosses on the first weeks of the raid, way before even encountering them, perhaps putting a stop to that by making M+ gear be more powerful in M+ but mediocre in raids and vice versa.
the reason Raiding is not incentivized, is due to the REQUIREMENTS TO RAID. Asmongold isnt right. he lives a Lifestyle which makes those Requirements easily met for himself. however he isnt in a Role which RL Realistically prevents it.
Children Almost Remove your ability to raid unless ur partners going to be understanding enough to look after the child single handerly for you to raid in a video game (hint hint, most wont)
Job, if u work in a shift work schedule, I.E Doctors, Ambulance drivers, Paramedics, Retail Workers, fireman, Police Officers etc etc. u cannot raid because a Schedule isnt within ur ability anymore, u cant garuntee avaliability consistantly.
Social life / Relationships / Familys. raiding is a HUGE Time investment, 3 hours a Night over a minimum of 2 nights a Week. this means if u go on holiday regularly, or your caring for ur parents, or you have Animals, it can become incredibly hard to get your Life around such a Requirement.

The Demographic of WoW moved from SCHOOL and COLLEGE CHILDREN, to Adults over the age of 30, due to us the Fanbase of the game has Aged with the game.

Legion raiding was EXTREMELY Accessible, i PuG Raid Led them and bashed them out as a Survival hunter (the worst specc in t he game for the vast majority of legion)
BFA Again, barring Nzoth himself, again the raids were very easy.
SL Was the first raid, where simply raids got to hard. And even Blizzard admit that and have statement theyâre going to ensure Raids are EASIER at every catagory instead of aiming for the WF only at the sacrifice of the average player.
PUG RAIDS.
Raids should NEVER Be developed around PuGs. Raids are built to primarily be focused at guilds im afraid. the lack of communication and the inability to grow or get used to ur team mates due to them constantly changing is not something raiding should be catered to.
Raidings balance should realistically be set from a Guild activity mind set and while yes the current difficulty is too much. PuGS were struggling to get throuh low level keys of current M+ Even and tbh i dont want the game to become faceroll for the sake of PuG Enviroments.
Ion has already addressed this and Stated Raiding is getting easier from DF Onwards and its fully intended to decrease the difficulty of the raid content produced due to SL Issues highlighting blizzard going gtoo far.
so the critic now here is null as its already promised to be fixed.

So now gearing goes up all the way to +18 in Dragonflight?
Do seasons not usually start out only going to +10?
Honestly, who on earth is this e-sportification and elitist treatment to M+ gearing going to please? The only positive is that +18s in S3 and S4 of Shadowlands have been so easy that if the difficulty remains the same it should not be a problem, even for more casual players. Timing a +10 in Bfa in S1 was harder than timing a +18 in S3/S4.
I still see this as making a system dumber and more convoluted to appease the top 5 % of players. M+ is infinitely scaling, is it really necessary to require doing all the way up to +18 to please few people?
In Legion the Raiding / M+ system worked, despite infinite TF gearing from M+. Loads of people raided. Because shocker, if you make the raids good and actually manageable, people will actually do the content`?
Well. I sure hope so!! Raid releases in 2 months so we will see. One big worry is that almost all classes will be significantly harder to play, due to increase in complexity. At the same time Blizzard have a lot of raid buffs that ´´require´´ bringing more classes. So one thing is what they say, another thing is what we will see. I foresee balancing heroic raid and first Mythic raid bosses to be extremely difficult for Blizzard (will heroic be balanced around bringing all raid buff classes or not? For example).
I think both the Wrath Classic raid and DF raid release will give us important data.
If you keep the difference in difficulty low between 1 key level, it is more accessable than being able to 2 chest +9 and not being able to even finish a +10. In the end the number does not matter, of course. It is all about the scaling. When everyone goes to +50âs then so what? (ok, with +50 you add quite a lot of bloated keynumbers, but the game needs to find a middleground)
Itâs ok. My WoW hype is gone already anyway. I havenât pre-ordered so I can go back to other games.
At least I didnât fall for the subscription and pre-order trap again.

So many absolute rockets out there with an almost cultish following.

The majority plays the game and sees the major flaws and stuff it does wrong. And of course a lot of big streamers see those flaws too.
Iâm not even an Asmongold watcher nor fan but I can totally agree to his view because RWF and the focus on timed dungeons is what kills that game for the huge part of the player base.
The other reasons are hard gated content (pvp gearing for example) and everything feeling like having to do math homework for 2-3 hours a day.
NUMBER 1 REASON THIS GAME DIED:
PvP and PvE servers were ruined. Without communities this game is nothing. People donât like communities anymore. They donât care⌠They stay inside their Discord safe space. Current MMO scene is dead until somebody innovates and gives players reason to play, work and hangout together in the open world.

Iâve come to share why i donât raid on retail, but i do enjoy it on classic.
You might call me a casual andy, and thats fine.
Now i need to address, the currens raids are really cool. I like the design, scenery and atmosphere of the new raids. They are quite spectacular.
But what defeats it for me, is the existance of mythic raids.
Now, there are several hardcore players who love mythic raids, and thats great for them. I am happy for them!
But for me, the ânormal difficultyâ is alright, and heroic raids pose a great challenge to most casual guilds. (Typically i see people receuiting is somewhere in progress on heroic raids)
But the thing is, if i did a heroic raid 10/10 (or whatever) i would not feel completed. My gear would not feel complete, as iâm stuck on the middle tier. (Raid finder not concidered)
Now i could try to get better, find better people, play more serious, kick bad players, but the spirit of the game would be gone for me if that is what it would take to reach end tier.
If it was up to me, i would remove raid finder (no explaination given so far) and i would remove the gear power from mythic raids, and keep the cosmetics and prestigious rewards.

Time consuming and/or hard content makes sense only if you get what you want when you complete it succesfully. The philosophy that you might not get anything even after success is insane.

Blizzard shouldnât be basing everything in this game around âhow will it effect the 1% playersâ The 1% players bring nothing to the game. The rwt does nothing for the game, no one outside of wow knows or cares about it, and even within wow its not that big a deal for most wow players
