I’m going to leave this here, and then i will let you form your own conclusions to what it can entail, think back why we have been so bad for the many years, think why, why they have insisted on classes and specs being how they are and how feedback does nothing, it’s a shame. a real shame. And it explains everything, they truly do not want feedback or ideas on how to do specs and classes differently.
Tbh the moment ion got up on stage during legion and outright stated
“If your idea don’t fit our vision we don’t want it” was the moment we knew this was happening, they were fairly open to the whole audience that they simply had no interest redesigning any of the classes in legion beta.
BFA beta got even worse in these regards to how arrogant they were against the playerbases opinons
saying that however shadow got a rework, fire got a rework. All based on feedback. Which kinda contradicts this original statement.
So I dunno, maybe they’ve been told to stop ignoring players that shadow priest rework was never planned… but they did it, if players remained silent I’m almost certain we’d of seen void form in SL.
They just seem to now ignore certain classes
yea they ignore the classes, it seems like bunch of them only play certain specs which are OP for whole expansion, and everything is put up in pve, but what to do when you are bored of pve (after 2 dungeons and a raid)? you go into random battlegrounds and see what “sheitfest” it is, trinkets, borrowed power doing twice or triple dmg of you best abilities…and ppl just get sheit on with pve powercreeps (like russians) and then you just go to try some mount drop and just log off. I am not even interested in some stupid raid if it does not have the weapon or armor looks I like, its just waste of my time. BfA had most ugly sets that they ever produced, it just cant be compared to legion… At least they are going ok with Shadowlands and armors look amazing, even some mounts look nice. But they need to work on balance, you cant give some classes so much borrowed power if they are already OP. Just look at DHs, i cant seem to find any lately cause they lost borrowed power and now they are crap, and ppl reroll to sub rogue or retri paladin or shadow priest cause they know how strong they are so they tend to abuse the crap out of it.
I refused to watch and/or listen to any streamers and/or influencers. Ofc I heard and read the name Asmongold often but I actually watched him for the first time.
OMG, what an idi_t. I wish he just let that other guy took over and never came back from taking a p_ss.
No, trust me, it’s not worth playing. In fact, I would advice to avoid playing any dps spec from healing class. As plate, warrior is imo the best choice of 3.
I don’t mind watching influencers, but i refuse to watch this guy and other people that put themself in the center of attention instead of the game/subject
Believe me, Retri isn’t. Loss of Ineffable Truth corruption HURTS AF because they don’t do anything outside Avenging Wrath. Also still soft & squishy because Flash belongs to category of “the heals that don’t heal” and Word of Glory eats what remains of your DPS output.
@Grigory This thread wants a word with you. Enhancement healing - #4 by Xartim-ragnaros
Instant Flash of Light is a bit stronger because it gets 40% buff in addition to instant cast. Still it’s not something to write home about. Word of Glory heals a bit more but also uses up 3 HP. That’s 1 spender the Ret isn’t getting, so it’s trading dmg for healing and also losing 1/4 of instant Flash.
The issue isn’t that Retri has strong self-heals but that Enhancement has sucky ones. Like Elemental. Because apparently when the dedicated healer Resto can DPS like a DPS, it’s A-OK, but when DPS hybrids can heal, it has to be like 1/5 of what a real healer can do.
I agree BFA gear mostly looked garbage, it’s like they didn’t even try.
I guess Blizzard simply does not have enough time to rework, fix or polish most of the classes and because of that a good amount of feedback will not be ever used or thought out. The situation could be better if Blizz would focus to improve the classes and specs instead of creating these systems which are really hard to balance. Therefore, at the moment the resources goes elsewhere. Shadowlands delay is a good example that the game is still unfinished and there is a lot of work to fix all the bugs, and make the systems work and be at somewhat balance.
However, Blizzard should value more the player feedback. It does not mean that every idea should be implemented but at least it would be important recognize players worries and wishes behind the feedback. One of the problems is that a good amount of the feedback is kind of bad, meaning, wrote under frustration or other negative emotions which kind of ruin the whole feedback/complaint. Anyhow, I hope Blizz will listen players more in the future but also communicates with the playerbase especially with those who invests a lot of hours testing and thinking, just to make the game better.
I like how Blizzard decided to bring back some abilities and how they have improved certain specs and fix their core problems, like what they did with Shadow Priest and Affliction Warlock. It is not necessary to make such a rework to all specs but every spec deserves some attention. I think the making classes better process is not there yet, not even close actually, and many changes are still waiting to come. Once again, it is a resource matter, developers do not have enough time to fix or give something new and interesting to all the specs. I hope the focus will be more in classes in future, part of the next expansion after SL.
If I think DK’s situation. We got something new but there is still a good amount of dead talents for example which would need some rework or replacements. Unholy and Frost suffers from resource problems, Unholy has too much downtimes and Frost does not have effective RP spender baselined, for example.
