Is it possible to get some rebalancing of the tree to make more direct damage builds possible?
nowadays in m+ and pvp at least its just full on bleed spread build. Even on ST in raid its a semi hybrid build spec.
Would it be possible to reintroduce the s3 DF set bonus in the tree somehow? make an envenom poison AOE spec? and make it so that ST doesnt so heavily rely on garrote and rupture talents?
Garrote and immediate Rupture after opener with periodical top ups to keep the dot on is not that big of a deal imo. Envenom plays a bigger part and does decent AoE damage too when Caustic Splatter procs.
My only problem is having to wait a long time to come out of stealth on big pulls due to the timer on Rupture and Garrote spreading after leaving stealth. Doesn’t feel good to be out of the action for so long just to maximise your opener.
However regarding the damage breakdown, i feel like too much damage goes into the bleeds, making your direct damage feel rather unimpactful. Don’t get me wrong there is some feel good moments especially when you proc poison bomb.
I don’t think they should make a build where you dont rupture and garrote, but rather a build were they do less of your overall damage.
The lack of Blizzard’s movement regarding Rogues as a class would tell me that internally they must be happy with where we are at the moment.
Personally, I am too. It’s nice to be in a position where we can discuss different types of play styles rather than just requesting to be made viable again!
