Hello, just to know if others had a similar experience : I was ilvl400, just upgraded my onyx annulet to 424 (by upgrading to 424 each of its 3 primordial stones) and my ilvl stayed at 400 while I expected it to rise a slight bit.
do you have other high ilvl rings in your inventory? they count towards your max ilvl
My other ring has lvl395. But independently of that, if my intuition of ilvl is correct, as the ilvl of my char was 400 (and as this ilvl is a weighted average of the lvlās of each pieces), increasing the lvl of one piece (in this case the onyx annulet) should increase the weighted average, that is, the char ilvl, and it doesnāt increase it. (After rounding up to the unit.)
Edit : Ok, my spot intuitive math was wrong :
- (395+398+395+395+402+395+395+395+395+415+411+398+411+398+395+408)/16 = 400.0625
- (395+398+395+395+402+395+395+395+395+415+424+398+411+398+395+408)/16 = 400.875
and both 400.0625 and 400.875 are equal to 400 after rounding. False alert.
There is an addon that lets you see the decimals on item level. O Ilvl or something its called. Cant remember right now.
It probabbly did upgrade you can have for example 420,45 item level etc.
Yes this. Decimals are important when it comes to item lvl.
