At this point, Cataclysm is more than Welcome!

I know! We still have plenty of WoTLK content to come which is amazing.

…but for me, after seeing the idiotic of an expansion called DragonFlight, the only way to play WoW after WoTLK is : WoTLK Seasons ( if it will be a thing ) or Cataclysm.

Cataclysm can’t be worst than Dragonflight ( or Retail as a whole ). No way! Retail is in its 3rd expansion …bad cycle. It managed to release 3 bad expansions …in a ROW and that’s a first.

So I say, bring it on. Bring the …Cataclysm to WoW. At this point it can’t do more harm than what we have today.

PS: Fire Ion Hazzikostas!
Thanks!

Dragonflight is a bad expansion
Dragonflight has dragons

But Cataclysm has dragons too! THEREFORE, Cataclysm is a bad expansion too.

How about pandas? :smirk:

Like there is any chance they ll stop milking this.
It has everything that they need :

  • already released games - less work, no creative personas needed
  • player tourism that boosts quartal numbers !
  • and the best : They do not have to care about bugs and bots ! Playerbase already came to peace with actiblizzion doing a sparking poo poo about it

I thought the general Consensus was that Dragonflight is good?

Now this is an opinion I can support! Cataclysm can’t come soon enough!

I wouldn’t say “good”. It’s considered good because BfA and Shadowlands really set the bar low. If DF followed an actual good expansion, it’d be seen as mediocre.

Dragonflying and the new talent system are good. But the story is lame and the actual content is mediocre.

I think the word for Dragonflight is “acceptable”.

Still a bit early to judge Dragonflight. It’s flaghip features have faired quite well, with some not bad not great content to accompany it. We’ve seen expansions launch strong, only to fumble it down the line just like we’ve seen expansions flop initially, but turn it around to immense fanfair.

Cataclysm will be great for me. Thats when i will retire from WoW permanently.

Hah, they add or remove stuff in cata to make it trash like wotlk is.

In theory, but blizz is all about #somechanges that requires work

…WoTLK is trash because no RDF? Alright then. If the expansion is trash to you simply due to the absense of one feature, perhaps the game is just bad at its core and you should be playing something else?

And Cataclysm could use some stuff being added and others removed.

If you think rdf is all that is wrong with wotlk you are kinda living in a bubble mr

How about they just give us cata with all it had originally?

Tip of the iceberg, while RDF was a bandaid originally the issues which necessitated it’s introduction are still there and thanks to the new and rubbish system more pronounced than ever. Especially over the 70 level stretch of alone time in empty space it inherited from previous iterations.

(Doesn’t really affect you, if you’re 80 and raid logging, which let’s face it most people do, at this point)

Oh you mean you actually have a problem with WoTLK in general and not just the Classic version?

Well they could. But then we’ll just see a huge drop off at the Firelands again.

You actually think we get firelands? The way blizzard is changing stuff?

Odds are we’ll see one by the time ICC is done regardless of what Blizz chooses to do. Starting over will lack all the novelty and nostalgia which made it work last time and Cata is obviously a divisive entry people either love or hate.

Care to explain what’s wrong with WoTLK beside … RDF?

So like … what are you saying? You want RDF?

Guys … the reason why we got the 50% XP bonus is precisely to somehow, compensate the RDF.

RDF is bad. I recently tried DF and all I did was level from 10 to 60 via dungeons only. It completely ruin the immersion and the zones in WoW. I know, I know “DON’T USE IT!”. Well, it doesn’t work like that.

It’s the single best solution they came up with outside ditching all of vanilla except raids. The matter of fact is that the old zones are poorly designed, disjointed and have aged extremely poorly, whilst giving insufficient experience to keep going throughout. Leading to most players not bothering to level alts or dropping the game entirely once you get a month or two into the lifecycle of a server.

And it has proven wholly incapable of filling the void save a few people caught up in FOMO.

Let me guess you did it during Retail’s version of JJ, in the leadup to DF itself? There is a variety of differences between the games, which encourage you to play through the overworld. The overlapping server make you feel like you’re playing the game wiht actual people, the level scaling allows you to take every zone at your own pace, until you’re finished with it whilst remaining relevant, at a comparable pace to what you’d see clearing dungeons at an average pace.

Wrong guess. I played DF after like 2 weeks of release.
