Great that you provide rated solo bg but when you keep losing cause people don’t do the objective leaves a very bad taste! there is 0 we can do high or low rating. Atleast work with a point system or whatever for doing the objective.
The problem that comes here is that “objectives” can be farmed instead. For example, min-maxing capping points, or demanding you to hand over the flag so he can cap it for points instead and so on…
Previous open world PVP with currency rewards have had such a system where one side farms the other and then flips around the next turn to maximise gains next to a GY for example. It is not unlikely that open abuse will happen.
how exactly will you do that in a solo bg?.. can’t queue up with who you want…? Issue is that people dont focus objectives don’t get your comparison with open world :S
not focusing objective can mean ALOT of things.
pvp needs to be looked at with common sense
fighting mid, is not ALWAYS BAD
just like taking objective is not ALWAYS GOOD.

Certainly for blitz as it is more affected by the human factor than solo shuffle but thats my opinion
Objectives should count for something at least, maybe not on CTF since one person gets that role before you begin, but domination maps and kotmogu should definitely incentivise holding the objectives to try and get people away from just farming hks like a normal bg
That again depends, spread dps classes will have a huge disadvantage with that, healers aswell.
this might be offtopic and not related to the thread but i’ll hope you’ll answer anyway, are blizzard looking into tuning rogues kit for battleground blitz? as it currently stand this entire class is blatantly overpowered in the mode.

objectives mean gaining points IE
capping 3 flags ( WSG )
capping a base gains 10points per base, capped at 1500 for a win ( AB )
- my point being, they wont get abused, pvp will still be there to assualt bases … which is an objective in itself
- same as defending a base
and ofc winning a game gains rating
Do you think you get increased rating as a warrior if this happens ? MW and Pres will get all the rating in ctf maps and for others rogs, hunters, and probably mages will always get higher rating because they are better at defending, capping, offcarts etc.
You already quoted me where open abuse may occur. For example, trading assault “caps” etc.
If people notice they may gain or lose in a different way besides “winning/losing req” they’ll shift and min/max tactics. It could be for the better ofcourse, that people truly play for objectives. But I do have my doubts ^^’
You don’t premades for this. You already know with the current state people are “random fighting” or sometimes even GY camping even when that isn’t a BG objective without queueing up with others.

I’ve stucked in 1400+ because lose takes up to -15, win gives maximum +10. I love PvP m8. I played several games. And here is shame on blizzard, but Kotic gone, Metzen here… where is a problem to create normal PVP?!
