So, people want attunements back, people dont want trash mobs in raids and real casual players want more stuff to do and “see” raid enviroments and follow lore.
How about some inovation Blizzard?
How about attunents that send us into the raid to clear waves of trash mobs. Solo or party of 5.
“Insert dificulty levels here”
At the end, players have cleared all the trash up till the bosses, attunement is complete and casual players are happy too.
Make it repeatable, increase dificult levels. Some pretty rewards etc.
Personally I think Attunements are a great thing to give some additional Story to the Raids.
Let it be as simple as a pre quest.
So I’d be for it.
Thrash in Raids is whatever…
The respawn point for players on a wipe should be worked on.
Like in FFXIV you wipe on a boss, release and boom back at that Boss would be great.
So you still have to get there but then can just progres
I don’t mind a bit of raid trash, it’s a little downtime between bosses and gives everyone a minute to decompress. If we just rushed from boss to boss, then everyone’s got to be in full raiding mode for 3 hours straight and that will take a toll…
Attunements was a great way to cooperate with other players and reach common goals together. They were painful yes, but that was life back then (2005 - 2008): grind anything Blizz served until our eyes bled.
However, I wouldn’t mind modern day attunements that can be done both solo or group mode. They could be shorter, more efficient, more flexible and reward some special shinies. Simply something fun to work towards without insane hassle.
No, what can be done are raid quest chains that can also be done in lfr so casuals have more reasons to do raids for nice rewards. Quest chains can be repeatable to obtain rewards for other gear slots. lfr → normal raid reward. etc.
no =) its like saying we want to farm conduits and renown on every char we play and we know that player loved this, when they were max level on their alts.
Since I’m a casual and ex hardcore raider. I dont believe LFR is a good rpg element and I find it dificult to grasp the idea that someone can enjoy that messy zerg.
Casuals would prefer scenarios or any other kind of fight besides looking at 1bilion neon lights on their screen while beeing oblivious to whats going on.
The issue with scenarios is their limited entertainment. There’s very little room to create a sense of danger or grandeur.
Raid, even with a bunch of strangers, still serves its purpose - to overcome a great foe, a menace, with a large group of heroes, because you can’t tackle that foe otherwise.
And yes, these so called heroes can break your immersion in 2 seconds, still you can pretend that these are regular mercenaries who don’t care about justice and valor, and are there for loot.
Create your immersion. I do during encounters. I just don’t pay much attention to chat.
