Auction House Addons

To those shouting for the AH addons to be banned. I get it, I needed 10 low grade bismuth for this weeks slightly nuts mining quest.
I went to buy some from the AH, should have been a nice quick visit. Nope!

Every time I tried “No longer available”. I gave up trying, but I did watch the listing for about a minute, to see one piece of ore pop up at 17G or lower, pushing the default lowest price down. Then it would very quickly vanish and more ore would pop in with a price of at least 33G per piece. Then another would pop up at a similarly low price on the next very quick refresh, starting the cycle again.

And before someone says it was just another player being quick. No it wasn’t, the ore was being listed and vanishing within a second or two. Way quicker than someone can list, bid and buy.

Just because addons are technically within the tos frame doesn’t mean that obnoxious AH goblins are not creating disruptive gameplay for others.

That’s it exactly!

It’s not though. I hate the AH goblins just as anyone else but the addons are not the issue. Any addon that you can get on curse, as is provided, is just a tool and does not break anything. It just makes your life easier.

The issue is some people use “extra tweaks” in conjunction with said addons (which are not part of the addon) to automate things (that are not possible with the vanilla addon) and make life hell for everyone.

So don’t blame the addons, I like mine very much, especially Actionator. Blame the players, as usual.

Blizzard needs to put a stop on this, put a daily cap per account on how many auctions you can cancel, like 100 or something (nobody playing legit needs that many and if you do, just do 12H auctions and wait). It will make all these automated bots worthless overnight.

Ore is cross EU, so you have probably 100’s thousands people buying. When I list most crafting reagents, at 1s less than the current value, they go instantly. Plus, you are looking for an even more in-demand item because it is needed for a quest this week, so it is to be expected.
