Auction House Bots

Simply put, why are auction house bots permitted by Blizzard? Other than the obvious monetary gain.

I accidentally put an auction up for 1g99s instead of 199g. I seen my error before I actually hit create auction, and in less than half a second I hit cancel, but somehow someone bought out the item in this insanely short period of time.

I put in a ticket and a GM informed me that such action is legal but it involves manual input by the player in order to buy the item and that it cannot be automated, unfortunately though I find it virtually impossible that someone manually bought my item. I know myself that nearly anything can be automated, even if it isn’t using any in-game method to do so.

Bots are so common as it is, when will it end or be addressed? Will we ever get active GMs back on realms? I reckon in 5-10 years time, there will be no staff employed at Blizzard, only AI making robotic/logical decisions on the game.

Good to know… I should try this.

I know the feeling, got scammed few times too. But i dont think they will do sth with it, same when ppl put 4000 auctions of 1 cloth and messed up with AH, it took them many years to fix it

I’ve reported 2 or 3. Received 1 mail from a GM claiming that they took action against said bot.

Who knows

testing dont mind me
