The what? Why would I lie? My main has been “parked” in storming for the last 6 hours in the same level. I think my other alts have roughly 6 hours at lvl 1 in stormwind. It doesn’t take me an hour a day, it probably takes me 3-4. lots of brain dead work of cancelling sales and collecting stuff in my mailbox than putting it back up on AH. This is enormously boring to do.
People were selling cloth little above vendor price so you bought it from them and changed into bandages/bolts that sell for more per stack. Really you are AH god… I did it myself but on my server price dont allow that more. sometimes there are scammers that want to buy with COD all stacks for price that allow it. People in chat reveal those scammers immidiately.
Basically, you have two ways of making gold:
-
Productive way: Spend hours farming materials, extract them from the game, and sell them at AH for current market value
-
Speculative way: Spending the same amount of hours sitting at the AH, buying things that, due to temporary excessive offer are cheap, or just buying out everything of one demanded item/material and putting it back on sale for more money.
The first one is usually more stable, the second is higher risk/higher reward. However, with the first you’re milking the game, while with the second you’re milking other players in a extremely capitalist way.
“Auction House domination” or just known as working the AH.
Funny how ppl miss the main point. By relisting tens of pages of single item you “hide” most of the competitive offers. You don’t even need to buyout competition. Just flood the AH and that’s it. That’s a problem with default AH UI which most of ppl use atm. That’s a problem with listing items of 1 for free or close to free. This issue is acknowledged by blizzard and fixed on retail. But exists on classic version because of #nochanges. So have fun with it.
Yeah, I figured that method out and managed to spread the word a little around before sending an email to Blizzard.
All three.
