On those DPS ranking charts it shows augmentation evoker as being one of the top DPS, yet I’ve never seen a single one with damage higher than tank.
Are those sites factoring in the increased damage from allies or are my evokers bad ?

It takes into account buffs its giving to others.
Huge lack of understanding of evoker class from the OP. Unles it is a troll which is also possibility.
delete aug asap plz blizz ty
Sites factor in damage contribution from their buffs. Details cannot yet so you only see the damage the evoker themselves do.
You usually have to look at logs to see what damage an Augvoker is doing.
However it’s not usually their dps they are brought for.
Yes. And buff devastation accordingly
yep its bad, that you cannot read it out without warcraftlogs
Warcraftlogs attributes the extra dps Aug gives to others as the Augs Damage
Details or other in game damage meters do not. Which isnt an issue for blizz to sort. only the addon devs can do this but i imagine its complex.
So it may look like Aug isnt doing any damage but its infact doing a hell of alot more by enabling your two other dps.
Also this. Augs utility is nuts
Playing Evoker with pugs, I can guarantee you he is not trolling and 90% of people think like this.
Also funny when they call my 80-90% EM uptime in M+ bad because I don’t have 100% uptime in a dungeon.
As far as I recall the fault lies on Blizzard’s side due to their API being ancient and they do not seem keen on including some of the abilities.
I see thank you for your responses!
Ahh i didnt know that.
Warcraft logs must have done some post data capture data juggling to have it show like it has.
Aug can see how much dps in total they’re doing with Details too now, other classes can’t see it sadly.
Well this is what happen when you implement enhancer class into a game where people know nothing but to deal damage for 18 years. Funny it doesnt click to them that according to their dps meter they are doing exceptionaly well that particular run. I guess they just think how much they are nailing the dungeon and how leet they are with all that extra dps
in my opinion these are the very reasons why API that connect to dps meters should be removed.
the question is, it shows augvoker’s buff as its dps but does it do the same for other buffs ? like ap buffs etc. ?
I am not a hundred percent sure of the workings of it, but I know that there are some buffs around still that cannot properly be tracked still. For example how Aug buffs contribute to ignite for example.
Due to this it will take a while until the majority in the community catches up, or atleast I hope they eventually will.
I do not think they will, as damage meters are an important tool for both individuals to improve on their performance, and for raid leaders to see who in the group need guidance to improve.
It is a tool there to be used, and I would not want it gone because a good majority of players using it are unable to read the data it provides. We should be going forward, not backwards.
Usually I see 40-60%
Tbf 40 is bad, 60 is good, 70 is exceptional , 80-90 is borderline perfect.
If you see anything below 60 you have the right to call them out. But people that see 70-80 and say something because they don’t understand you’re never going to keep a buff up whilst moving through dungeon packs … smh
