Authenticator - bugged?

Cant find bug report forum section, but why does my LFG say i need an authenticator? its not like i just added it… had it for ages…

Anyone else having same issue?

First try completely resetting your UI. Simply disabling doesn’t always work:

If that doesn’t solve it you need to do the following ingame to report a bug:

1. Pres Esc or click the ? button to open the menu
2. Click Support
3. Click Submit feedback or bug report

Blizz will realise it’s widespread if everyone with the problem reports it

I see suggestions on the US forums that the ability to specify LFG now requires NOT ONLY the authenticator, but ALSO that you have a registered phone number with it.

I do not know. This is not confirmed. I do not believe Blizzard on their reasons for this. At all. So them grabbing your phone number as a valuable GUID sounds plausible to me.

I have no idea. I do not even KNOW that it is true. I’m just reading comments from US-side.

I do know that I have an authenticator, but have not given them a phone number, and they have locked me out of group descriptions.

Hi there Hamuut, As far as I’m aware a physical authenticator should work as well, though keep in mind you’ll need phone notifications as well, in case you have a regular old mobile phone. More info here:

I respect they want an authenticator on our account, but how the h*ll can they demand we are using a phone number… What is this… they try to push us out of their games?

I have read somewhere that you have to completely relog into battle net launcher to fix the update on the authentification.

Try it, if it is true, please put it in your main post so that people see it directly.

Sadly didnt fix this issue/bug…
