Auto /AFK against premade - sorry not sorry

Hi, I have just realized for the past month or so I’ve been doing this:

With all of my lvl 25 chars, I queue into WSG solo (I don’t have the care, time and patience to form or join premades - on top of the fact they only look for priests and hunters…). The very moment at the start of the game I see we’re up against a premade I /afk out instantly, get the 15min debuff and insta log one of my alts and repeat the exact same steps until I’m finally up against a non-premade. Sometimes this takes up to 5 attempts. It’s become a steady habit at this point

I will continue to do this until Blizzard changes this dated system and force premades to only queue into other premades. Time is a too valuable resource to waste on this nonsense. And I’d like everyone reading this to do the exact same thing

Perhaps Blizzard will come to their senses surrounding this topic in the next phase

Oh yes and when Blizzard does the solo queue rogues would finally be able to join games without healers, where they can effortlessly kill lone stragglers. Or like one team having the healer and other not, so them getting stomped by the first team. Solo queue is just a mess too without some matchmaking rules.

God forbid players are rewarded for their individual skill, rather than having the unfair upper hand by being organized vs randoms and stacking broken classes (priests, hunters). Don’t be so dense. Awful argument. Ideally speaking they would implement a class/spec-based matchmaking indeed, but disallowing the premade vs pugs is a good first step, and easy to implement.

Don’t /afk, go to the roof and dance. Whoever judges you is a condescending redditor.

That is slightly based, however in the end you’re only griefing yourself and your valuable time this way.

This is exactly what I do. Contrary to you I don’t believe it will have any impact on what Blizzard does or doesn’t do but I found that 1 mark isn’t worth the wait and you feel a lot better not getting a rectal exam every game.

I set an objective: all my chars should be R3 at the start of phase 2. i no longer care about rep.

now I don’t have to suffer through WSG premades anymore. I play those games that look fun, dump the rest and do wpvp in between

That is a wise approach. By all means I don’t think it has much of an impact on what Blizzard does, considering many others already voices their opinions in the forums and on twitter. I just wish to encourage others to approach it like you and I do

And just hope they’ll change things in the coming phases, otherwise I’ll only do the bare minimum in regards to bgs as well, which is a shame because I love CTF/wsg

This is the way

My argument was more about solo queue being a mess that will always be disbalanced and that pure random solo queue is not the answer. And once more about the hunters and priests. If they would continue to be dominant in p2 people would start rerolling to meta, solo queue or not, because everybody likes to win.

Some light news in dark times: on my shaman I decided to stick through and at least try when faced vs premade. Ended up scoring 3 times. That’s the positive side to this rotten coin, 1 in 10 times you end up beating the premade as randoms, which feels good. But those are too few to warrant it imo

It isn’t really about premade vs pugs. It’s just about priests vs no priests.

In most pug groups you won’t have a priest on your team since the majority of priest players get a red carpet invitation to any premade group of their choice.

And if the enemy team has priests and your team doesn’t have priests it’s an automatic loss. Like literally automatic loss. Priests are so turbo broken there is no counter or outplay potential what so ever.

This is true indeed. Luckily both our teams each only had 1 priest in this match, and the only “kind of” counterplay to priests are priests and shamans for their dispells/purging to remove the shields and prayer of mending

Many premades I faced stacked 3+ hunters and 3+ priests, and there’s literally nothing that can beat this

Some real masochism there.

No sympathy, though; instead of trying to be a martyr, you could’ve taken some simple steps to all but alleviate perceived issue. /shrug

The post is also bs. Anyone that has the time to level multiple chars and grind rep/honor on them, has the time to join a premade.

Typically if a resto shamen /druid fills the 3rd heal spot the tally at then end is 40%/40%/20% heals with the resto being the 20%.

pretty much this. plus stacking hunters

Even premades go afk when they sense they can’t win against the opposing premade.
I went on a 10 streak 2 days ago and after the first teamfight it’s just a matter of capping flags.

WSG became a rep grind circus because players think exalted rep will get them rewards that don’t exist. Even revered rewards only exist as a lvl 25 version.

I’ve got a super idea, maybe if we swap around the rewards for winning and losing, premades will stop being formed.

D’awww everyone gets a participation trophy!
