wanted to ask if anyone has anything to share about this.
My friend started WoW like a month ago. When she hit 70 2 weeks ago i gifted her TWW. A few days later she got banned for “breach of Terms of use”.
When she opened a ticket they said they reviewed it and they stand by it because the account was involved in the exchange of ingame property to real world currency.
Do you think it’s possible it got flagged for that because i gifted her the Expansion? We’re kinda at a loss here, since there wasn’t even anything much on her account yet that could’ve been exchanged as it was brand new.
And ofc i got a ticket open already but response time is slow. Maybe she got hacked, doesn’t seem like it and blizzard would’ve said as much no?
Just asking for similar experiences and if it could be possible we just got unlucky and detected by some automated system, ty all
bans isnt allowed to be discussed on forums.
that you open a ticket about her ban dosent help since blizzard only talk about the ban with the owned of the banned account.
but the only way to go is for her to appeal the ban through tickets.

well same happen to me but no one gifted me anything i bought the tww my self even tho i banned right now i cant do nothing about it and even made an appeal and nearly 48h no response and i rly upset dont know what to do
appeals can take some time since they are looking through their logs 
oh okay, sorry, didn’t know about that rule.
yeah, she already got the reply that she was involved in some rl currency trading.
that’s why i was asking if someone else had a similar thing happening after gifting to a new account.
but i’ll guess we’ll just wait it out, it should resolve just fine, it’s only a bit frustrating having to wait 4-5 days per reply from blizz only to get a nothingburger response and idk how she’s supposed to prove or make it clear to them that she never was involved in such activities.

how did she appeal for the ban because i did and still no reponse for 2 days can you please tell me what section she used to appeal for the ban ?
In the email telling you about the ban, there should have been a link to where you can appeal which is the best way to do it.
That said, it’s the weekend so there may not be as many people around to reply at the moment.
