Problem one: You get flagged for using portals to go thru Org/SW from one hub to another. For example during Legion quests you have to do that a lot, there are no alternative routes. You can’t just “avoid cities” as some said.
Problem two: To keep yourself up in the air, as someone also suggested is also not possible when you’re not high enough level to fly.
And problem three… last time I was unfortunate enough to actually login during a “funny event” and got flagged for PvP, the flag did not go away. It did not reset, despite going to another zone and waiting for that 5 minutes. I stayed permanent and there was no way to take it off.
Some say they remember how “fun” Lich King pre-even was with zombies and stuff. I remember that too. I remember many of my online friends leaving the game and they never came back. That includes my friend’s kid who got WoW as a present and was not able to play at all.
Over simplifying matters. Try getting to Chromie when lvl 50 zombies are griefing (you get Zombie’d) and then killed by a lvl 50 player. One can simply not fly until they’re lvl 30 and Chromie is not best placed.
I’m fine with the zombie event happening, just so long as there’s some consistency. For example, raid instances, dungeons and any other PvE group content should include crowds of group-wiping zombies all ths week, preventing anyone from making any PvE progress or getting any PvE rewards of any kind.
Any kind of activity in dungeons or raids like doing quests or killing bosses or getting loot should be zombified to the same standard as activities are being affected in cities. Battlegrounds and arenas should also be swarmed with zombies which repeatedly kill both teams so nobody gets any progress or rewards whatsoever.
It seems a bit flaky that part of the game in cities like auctioning stuff, or questing or meeting up with other people in Stormwind or Orgrimmar is being hit by this “invasion”, while the zombies somehow don’t know how to get into a raid or dungeon or battleground. It’s a pretty weak invasion if the only places the zombies are causing any issues is in cities.
Also, chromie time should be infested with ghouls because that’s also just inconsistent. If you’re going to do zombies then do zombies. Don’t do zombies in a way that affects some players while others just continue playing as normal without being affected by it.

Yeah, sorry Blizzard but you made Warmode, just have PvP on that and leave those to PvE be able to do that with Warmode off.
It’s not that hard, so no you developers don’t get a pat on the back for this. Why waste not using the systems you put in? It’s a failure to be honest.
