I’m currently running TBC dungeons to complete my collection. In the Auchenai Crypts the last boss is supposed to summon this other boss at 25% and the summoned boss has it’s own loottable. Problem is I know of no way of getting him to 25% instead of killing him.
The Swoft Foam Sword toy does not work inside instances. Anyone knows a way of not killing a boss in an ability?
Resurrection Sickness with Fishing Pole have sometimes worked in the past, but I haven’t tried that for a couple expansions.

According to All the Things he drops Will of the Fallen Exarch, Draenic Wildstaff, Auchenai Death Shroud and Sky Break for me.
maybe those are on tbc – nvm found it’s on heroic those item drop hmm - try taking a low lvl dk/dh there instead of your main mage
Why fishing pole and not just bare fists?
i think because the fishing pole has set amount of damage so if res sick and un clothed you should not be able to one shot .
You do more damage with your fists since it technically is a weapon skill you have at max. Fishing pole has no associated weapon skill (they still exist in the game actually, we just don’t get to see them and they auto-max) and it doesn’t seem to benefit from attack power or strength. I suppose a skinning knife might also work.

Whole body shrinkah (toy) or whatever it’s called will allow you to hit him down to 25%, won’t even need to unequip your gear
