I am curious - because I assumed that the average age of classic player was/is at least 40, yet the threads I see are so immature it’s beyond laughable.
I myself am 48, so i was 32 when i started WoW. I’ve seen allsorts over the years having been an avid forum dweller since the original forums; but the constant threads I see these days (boosts/changes/bots) are so childish in their arguments, it makes me think the posters in them weren’t even born when vanilla released.
25, started playing when Wrath was the current expansion, BUT this was back when i was in school and I couldn’t afford Wrath so I technically played TBC before I bought the Wrath CD disk, but at Wotlk patch i think. Classic player and refuse to play the game beyond Wrath.
38 in less than a month
I played only 4 games in my entire life (if you dont count tetris), so cant realy say am gamer.
But I got somewhat addicted to WoW tho…
Started in winter 2008 in late tbc. Played less than a year until mid wotlk, then stoped due to real life stuff. Then somewhere 2013-2014 switch to private vanilla servers (2 psersvers) and use to play there with breaks until 2018. When real life allows me, am capable to play 6+ hours daily, but mosr of the time I can afford 3 hours max.
I like this game and will continue to tbc, tho its not my favourite expansion. I prefer Wotlk much more.
38 here. Started 5 months before original TBC. Only played seriously hardcore from T5 in BC and through wotlk. Then quit 5 months into Cata and came back in MoP. Been a filthy casual ever since
23
It’s funny that I’m on the younger side here, because in other games I play, such as League of legends, I’m usually older than other players I meet.
I’m 35, started in vanilla beta at 18, and played Vanilla to Cata, when I quit. Came back for Classic after an 8 year break.
At 35 I am one of the oldest in my guild, although there are a few 40+ boomers too.
