Avoid bots on high pop servers by limting creation to only allow veteran accounts?

Ok, i know this is another post about Living flame, but its been locked for a month now, and with Phase 2 just around the corner im getting the feeling it wont get unlocked for a long time and not so much “a temporary measure”

I understand that bots would swamp the server if blizzard where to unlock the server now, but wouldnt it be an option to only unlock it for players who reach certain criteria?

Bnet account age > 1 year
Total purchase on account > $100

Or something else that would make it unprofitable for bots to be able to join?

I know people say move server to play with friends, but when you are with a group of 10+ who play on a server, its hard to move for those 1-2 people who didnt make it in time, if P2 hits without it being opened.

Keep it locked.

I think this is a good idea, not sure if it can be done or if blizzard wants to do it

A realm where you can only join if you’ve got a 1Year plus account that has paid for 12months+.
Love this idea.

So many good ideas when Blizzard has NO intention of really fighting against bots AT ALL, it benefits them too much.
Don’t bother looking for ideas, Blizzard has no intention of fixing this “problem”

There is a snowball’s chance in hell they would ever do this, given they struggle getting new players into WoW as it is.

And they really shouldn’t either. The whole Living Flame is showing enough already what similar restrictions cause. Less bots sure, but also a lot of genuinely angry genuine players.

Fighting bots should not come at expense of players.

Or if your account has paid for six months of subscription. No bot owner will pay for six months on a new account.

Neither will a new player.

People really need sometimes to step back and think about more than just their own case.

Good suggestion. Boomers crying about “another living flame thread” and “keep it locked my friends got here lul” incoming.

No bots sound kinda nice ngl. Might start playing my character on Living Flame again.

like anyone on these forums care about playing with new players.

In this scenario you can just play on the noob server for new players, put them all together, they would have more fun, i’m sure.

And what happens when the bots play on stolen accounts from 10 years ago?

Also my account would not qualify as I have never bought anything in Dollars.

edit: I forgot to add Battle.net accounts can have 8, yes 8 World of Warcraft accounts on them.

Thus, I am saying that people need to step out of their bubble for a second.

And duh, everyone in these forums only thinks about themselves. That’s why someone here thought this was a good idea.

But ultimately, this idea is not good for the game itself down the road. It’s also a lazy out for Blizz, just like WoW Token in Wrath.

Your right, lets just stay in bot infested realms with billion gold inflation, its been great so far actually.

Imagine that there are quite possibly other options than fudging up the game with questionable results.

When you cut your finger and it hurts, you can then cut off your arm and the finger won’t hurt anymore! Brilliant. Huh? You don’t want to do that? Guess you’d rather not resolve the issue then, huh???

I thought you had problem with mage boosters, didn’t you say they are the ones ruining the economy and causing inflation, not the bots ? Why did you change your mind now

what is this nonsense you are typing.

Oh, you know, it’s the conspiracy of the day.

Now we need to ban all the new accounts from playing SoD, they are the true evil - mage boosters were just a cover, it took some time to get to the bottom of this.
