Is there a hard cap at 20%? anyone tested and can confirm this?
Why would anyone go so far to get 20% of it, when it is 100% useless? You shouldn’t reduce the incoming dmg from aoe, you should avoid it.
Most raid bosses do big aoe dmg, sometimes m+ mobs and bosses too. Hardly call it useless.

Raidwide and aoe is two different things. Although I only do heroic raids, I cannot really recall a bossfight where aoe dmg would be too high.
My avoidance is 99%
I avoid playing th3 game
And i avoid subbing to it

No they are not. Anguish at Xanesh is not aoe. Eternal torment and Inifnity’s Toll at N’zoth is not aoe. And so forth.
Wrathion, maut, hive, dragon, ilgynoth, so on, all have aoe dmg and avoidance is good for them.
My main point was it has value.

If you are thinking about Incineration during the Wrathion fight, it reduces the damage dealt by the player who got the debuff which is insignificant. Same with Maut the rings initial damage is tiny, it has another purpose. I don’t know which skill are you thinking about during Hivemind. On Ilgynoth rings maybe? That might be a valid one.

Yes, there is cap, I had some items with avoidance + I had two avoidance corruptions (8% and 12% of haste), I stacked haste then and couldn’t go past 20%.
