I agree, but itâs specifically a Frost mage issue. Double Ice Block with every ability snaring / rooting and dealing massive damage with Ice Lance spam. You can turn off your brain and be top damage. Itâs Blizzardâs fault for making this monstrosity, it needs to be looked at.
But at the same time, it feels awful playing Fire in that same environment.
Also RMP just works very well, it is what it is.

I can only agree for Arcane. Arcane is the only brain requirement Mage spec, because you actually cast, if you get kicked you canât blink, there is actual counterplay.
But Frost and Fire are absolutely 0 IQ. Previous Fire iteration was brainless Ignite damage being 80% of ur total damage
Thatâs why Arcane is almost never the most popular or good Mage spec, but is 5 tiers above in terms of brain requirement
Imo if something is truly trivial the majority of awc would play it. Cant recall which period, maybe SL where mlx in US won like everything with one team and still most teams didnt copy them because playing alt classes to the same level isnt easy or for most possible.
I mean you can break down every spec by explaining how you pop CDs and use your most powerful abilities and spenders, itâs gonna look silly when itâs in text, and Combustion does feels amazing (when itâs properly tuned), atm it feels⌠not that good tbh.
I never understood why Ignite was such an issue when you can dispel it easily. Fire was almost always played in rogue comps so there wasnât any dispel protection, unless youâre talking about PvE then who really cares?
Not to mention our Hyperthermia and Hot Streak are dispellable as well 
Fire mage is historically THE easiest and braindead out of the 3 mage specs. Combustion all instant 2 button spec.

That isnât really true
Some specs consist of spamming 4 to 6 different globals during burst
While others spam 1 to 2 buttons
Arcane has to Surge, Touch of the Magi, POM, Blasts, Missle procs, Barrage with 4 charges, thatâs tracking many different things in a row
Affliction has to put 5 different dots during burst + pop pet
Even Demon Hunter needs to press 4 different buttons rotationally on CD + Essence Break + The Hunt etc
So a lot of specs spam buttons, but some spam much less buttons than others
Not just less buttons to spam, but also less opportunity to punish some classes.
Frost for example, with the ice lance spam you literally cannot punish mage for cast, and mage is awarded with big damage for casting instant ability with.
Frost mages were broken since they were implemented, blizzards favourite child for sure.

But rogues sometimes share this unfiltered love of Blizz with mages.

Im not okay with hunters but mages are hunters⌠in terms of survivability and toolkit i could risk saying that much without Magedog guy hopping in here complaining how its not the case while wiping out whole teams alone.
And before you all arena Andies hop on me neck for mage not being S tier in arena.
Well the game is not just arena though is it? Infact iâd wager every place of fun is outside of the arena spectrum- > world pvp , BGs , duels and general convinience (portals ,etc)
Mage is insanely tooled and need to be robbed of mobility and durability.
I think these are the facts and i dont believe anyone can change my mind on it.
Its a disgusting raid boss of a class.
I honestly believe Method uses less tactics fighting Concil than a regular player , a mage.

fire is easy to do your dps rotation with, but its not doing that well
and btw, ive never played fire like that in the last 2 expansions, ive played flamestrike and litfuse with meteor, which was heavily HEAVILY nerfed and its STILL BEING NERFED since the last patch dropped another -50% dmg on it
i donât like pyro build anymore since ive picked up flamestrike build in dragonflight, i was already playing it in Shadowlands/bfa but in dragonflight i set myself to main that for bg
as for how easy or hard, sure, fire dps rotation is not that hard to do, but id much rather have this rotation, than going back to
polymorph > greater pyroblast > meteor
and then use master sheperd over and over and shifting power, to keep setting up the cheesy one shot⌠thats infinitely more boring.

but nobody whipes teams as mage, bro we got nerfed HARD like 2 months ago⌠if u know i could whipe teams before, u know that now i canât, even with berserk, even with saltwater, even if enemies are low gearedâŚ
they target capped the burst, then they nerfed it by more than 150%, if i take out half hp off people its already impressive nowdays, and outside my burst i deal almost 0 dmg, in fact how many firemages u see around? hell even i donât touch that spec no more⌠and last patch dropped another -50% dmg on flamestrike, like WHAT ?
bro u canât compare, mage to hunters⌠u rly canât there is a pit between the 2 classes (at least in bg, and no frostmage intended for this post) they do more dmg, have better toolkit, have more range, better cc, and equal defensives
maybe hunters donât efeel busted, because they donât kite as well as mages? then again, but unless u r facing a ww/retri/warrior any other combination of melees, u actually cannot kite even as a mageâŚ
put a dk, a dh, a surv, a feral in the mix, u cannot kite.
Man just play a different class for a spell.
You obviously have forgotten where mage stands and how impactful and tooled it is.
