Azerite Powers in Shadowlands?

I maybe missed this information when it came to light, but what are the plans for Azerite powers when we start going through Shadowlands?

Will it be similar to how Legion Legendaries stopped providing their bonus effects at level 116? So we’ll have access to Azerite traits and essences until maybe level 55 in Shadowlands, then they’ll stop working at level 56?

I’m not sure, but i think i read somewhere that the heart of azeroth and azerite wont work at all in SL.

They arent working outside of azeroth, but hoa is rsther good statstick during leveling

So they’ll simply stop working once SL comes out?

I misread the title, I thought “yeah baby”

Won’t work IN Shadowlands, but outside of it, it should.

As i understood it, they wont work within SL but will still work on azeroth.

So it won’t work in Outland and Draenor? O.o

I dont know :joy: edit: do they work there now? I’ve never bothered to check

Well, the Dark Iron Mole Machine works in those places. That is a seriously good tunneling machine.

No idea xD
Edit: Oh wait, you mean now now? Yes they do.

That red description seems very vague. Like, do you have to stand next to a pile of azerite for it to function? lol
I’m guessing they will continue to function anywhere as long as you’re not in the Shadowlands zone.

I tend to log out in my Garrison a lot and never really tried using Azerite powers there. I shall have to check next time.

I haven’t tried it out in the world, but I have used essences while mount/mog farming Blackrock Foundry and Hellfire Citadel which are both located within Draenor.

Makes sense. They wanted to restrict covenant abilities to Shadowlands only partly as an RP restriction but backtracked on it.

I think Classic is where such lore related restrictions belong. I don’t miss not being able to use Entangling Roots in 99% of dungeons.
