Why is it not free?
Changing talents is free. Specialization change is free, but now I have my Azerite Powers set for Tanking and it costs 100,000 gold to change my Azerite Powers on my Azerite Gear so I am forced to play DPS with Tanking powers. Why?
You can buy a +10 boost and get a full set of 430 azerite piecea for your tank spec for that price. How have you even got the cost that high? You must be changing traits like 5 times a day
By the way this question is for actual game developers who implemented this double the cost everytime you reforge, not random retards who suggest I buy a boost

Its annoying, but i think the intention is to just have different azerite sets for the different specs 
I didnt suggest you do anything of the sort. Im simply pointing out how obscene it is that youve managed to reach the point where reforging costs that much.
It is true though, that you can pick up a full set of azerite gear with a week or two of titan residuum. You really, really should have two sets of gear (and its not difficult to do, as ive illustrated). My point is, this ‘problem’ isnt really an actual problem at all.
I don’t understand the need to stretch things out by having you drop multiple pieces for multiple specs.
Talents change by spec, essences change by spec, tier sets used to change by spec, even transmog changes by spec if you adjust it that way.

Arguments (that the devs themselves used) that you either use the universal traits or just farm more pieces are not really making it any better.
They should just fix the Azerite system to act consistently with literally all other aspects of the game, this is not even something to have a discussion about whether or not that should be done
So today I learned that being forced to spend all the gold you have just for reforging your extremely valuable and important Azerite Powers that literally impact your entire playstyle is not problematic at all. OK
Need to get the correct traits too.
Working as intended. Gear has always been based on your spec. Blizzard has already talked about this and said that you are meant to carry multiple sets based on your spec. Like it has always been. Collect multiple sets or deal with the cost
I’d like to see them raise the base cost of reforging, but lose the incremental costs each time you do it.
I don’t think there’s any good reason for it to cost so much, unless their primary focus is to make you grind more gear, which is quite evident at this point.
But then that takes up A LOT of space. If you’re saving bag space for 3 specs and mats from harvesting for professions, that’s not a lot of room left for much else.
It’s definitely something they need to look into, but it is quite low on the list of priorities for me.
What, and these pieces OP has that they keep reforging just happen to all have bis traits for both their dps and tank spec? I doubt it
I miss good old tier sets for changing spec. It didn’t penalise me for playing multiple specs. So either you carry around multiple gear sets or you just forego the traits. I just heal and tank with dps traits and rarely do the other two roles.
I would have preferred it if Azerite worked more like tier, and at least you could set traits for each spec that didn’t cost you. So if you changed to healing spec they changed to your healing spec choices. If you wanted to change the traits you used for healing then it would cost a reforge but that each spec would have it’s own set saved.
So are talents, why are they free to change around as much as you like?

I think it was around 5/10g and capped at 50g (which was A LOT in vanilla).
Now you can either get additional set for offspec, or play with dps traits or pick up universal traits or pay for respec. And people are still complaining 
they removed that for a reason, doeasn’t seem like a good idea to me to reintroduce it in a roundabout way just because they destroyed the economy with legion/wod and needed more goldsinks.
