Please can this be changed to a cap amount? Am currently on 40k for respec and now playing 1 useless azerite and so can't play my char to its full potential now because the pricing is silly.
Thanks.

You know why you are on 40k?
You are going against the design of what they intended for Azerite armour.
As said in an interivew or q and a once, putting a cap on it wouldn't be their intention and "if anything they would increase the cost". They don't want you respeccing for every single fight, it isn't the design or intention behind the system.
Working as intended.
You could just make up your mind and stick to a trait.
Farm and keep lots of pieces with different traits and swap them about saving respec costs
I am also for a cap on the reforging of azerith armor traits. It is just silly to have such an awkward barrier into switching traits. I see traits more like talents than anything and paying to respec talents is long gone.
One reason I'd like to see this changed is so that I could actually try out some traits in game instead of having to go to some 3rd party site that tells me which traits to use. Having the gold cost there makes me not even wanna try the other ones on the dummy targets. So for me it is like the traits not recommended by those sites don't even have a reason to exist.
I wish I could get a piece of gear, read the traits, pick the ones I thought were "cool", go to a training target, try it out, if I didn't like it try a different one right then and there, then compare the feel of both and pick the one I liked the most.
The current systems discourages that and as such I never even tried some of the traits.

Blizzard stated that the Aerite respec will not substitute the actual need to have multiple sets. Meaning you are stuck with those stupid costs because you haven't changed gear between specs .

Did you know that classes have three specs? I like to switch specs, usually in pvp for variety ..
Am easily bored and can't see a logical reason why azerite traits shouldn't be made cheaper. It is stupid to farm multiples of the same item to have different traits for different specs.

I can see this logic and understand the methodology behind it but it simply creates inconvenience which is likely to lazily extend content usage by forcing pvpers to repeat pve content to get the same items ..
You are supposed to use different armor pieces/sets, for different specs to minimize need to respect skills.
I am not saying that's good design. I think this expansion is trash.

You're a rogue, your specs should need the same traits.
Half of my inventory is filled with azerite pieces. Great game design.
You do realize that for sin rogue for example you need completely different traits for Raids, m+ and pvp? Same goes with sub and outlaw. So to perform good you need to have 9 helms, 9 chests and 9 shoulders.29/10/2018 14:34Posted by Dottie29/10/2018 14:21Posted by Nank...

40k LOL. How the heck did you get to that band.
They intend you to play one spec really well or go for general traits for all purpose. They have said they do not want mr.all purpose to be as good as person that plays the tank spec solely.
For people who do all purpose they would need to have several pieces of azerite.
Also it's not just azerite pieces. Some specs don't even use the same stats so you would need multiple sets anyway. E.G, in arms mastery is low priority but its one of the main ones for fury.

Mine too. My biggest problem is that for healer/tanks some traits really make a difference. My pala has a healer trait that increases the range of his group heal, and a tank trait that increases his shield interrupt CD reset proc rate. So I need 3 items alone because it would be stupid not to use them. When I don't want to use the raid trait for M+ I also need an additional item.
And with the new traits and a 2nd outer circle it will get even less attractive to use generic traits to use the same pieces on every spec.
At least there will be Azerite vendors so I get the pieces I want for my tank/healer gear in 4-5months...
I really hope the WQ emissary Azerite armour will scale up with the next raid.
They should just remove this azerite traits from gear and make it a pool to pick from like the pvp talents. Then the neck level just increases their power a bit per level...

Which is completely !@#$ing stupid as a response. Why did they try to change talent systems with one of their announced perks being an ease of using the talents the player wants in a given situation and now do a complete 180 in regards to something that more or less feel like minor talents?
They should know that the players want to min-max and that heavily limiting this for those playing more than one spec or aspect of the game only leaves a negative feeling.
Just cap the cost at around the 100g - 200g range where it still is an annoying cost, but easily affordable for most of those who'd want to change it around that often. It not having a cap is ridiculous and flat out bad design that goes against how the other character options allow you to do things.
