Azeroth and the sword

I was flying around silithus when i started thinking about what’s going to happens next in bfa and how we will eventually heal the dying world.

The first thing i was thinking about is Sargeras’s sword itself, how we will get rid of it? You can’t just have a giant sword cutting deep in the planet, and of course since we are mortals, we are powerless to move it. Even if we managed to, what to do next with it? throw it in the space? that seems harder than moving it. Destroying it will be very risky so no for this as well. Really, what to do with it?
At this point, i started thinking on what might the writers want. Sargeras’s sword must have a bigger role to play, and that role is connected on how to get rid of it.
After thinking again and again i came up with a theory which i reviewed it and i see it’s possible to happen.

So here it is:
Unfortunately, we can’t heal the planet. Azeroth won’t go back to what it used to be before the wound. So what to do? What will happen? Magni will discover that with the azerite, we can accelerate the hatching process. Making azeroth a fully grown titan and unconnected to the planet, so the sword won’t damage her anymore, and stopping the azerite from pupping up.
Then, in preparations of the battle between her and the void lords, she will take Sargeras’s sword, making it her own weapon

Unfortunately, we can’t heal the planet. Azeroth won’t go back to what it used to be before the wound. So what to do? It is the end? What will happen? Will what’s going to happen is that Magni will discover that with the azerite magical properties we can speed up the hatching process. Making azeorth a fully grown titan, which will result in disconnecting her body from the planet. Here the sword won’t be able to damage her anymore, and that will stop the azerite from pupping up at the rate we see currently.
As we know, Azeroth is the most powerful titan in the universe, stronger than even the void lords. Who will fight her at this point before she can destroy them all and ending the void threat. Probably.
Of course, since we are the players, we will help in her campaign against the void lords alongside the army of the light. Also, she will use Sargeras’s sword as her own weapon ( Since it’s the only one available anyway )

I am not very good at explaining my theories, so i hope i made it clear.

Here is a sum to everything.

  • Using the azerite we collected to speed up azeroth’s hatching process.
  • Sargeras’s sword becomes Azeroth’s weapon against the void lords.
  • The surface becomes stable.

What is your thoughts on the theories? And i would like to hear another theories as well on how this story arc will end.

Get your mining picks boys!

Isnt our Azerite power being already adressed in 8.2 (Idk if you know patch spoilers)

Oh right the Sword.

The biggest danger to Azeroth at the moment, aside from N’zoth, Queen Azshara, the other faction and some zones who are messed up.

Dalaran was once a city on the surface and is now flying around like it’s nobody’s business. We’ve slain gods, dragons and know people who can influence timelines. We’ve defeated a galactic threat… We can find a solution to it.

I guess it’ll be removed without any fuss near the end of the xpac because it’s no longer relevant.

it most likely shrink, same as the titans do, it aitn like they always are bigger than planets at all, maby some titan comes and collects it, or maby sargeras him self comes after it once he gets all hubby whit Illiand and they become a couple or something.

I propose we have Illidan kindly ask Sargeras to gently remove it in exchange for cutting a few trillion years off his prison sentence.

Failing that, we can combine Dalaran with a really big tow cable.

Not a bad theory, actually.

If it doesn’t turn out that way, given Blizzard’s writing processes, I think it’ll probably be a contrived ritual of some kind, and then the sword would just drop over Silithus and Uldum and be left there, perhaps ready to get buried and form a mountain for future games.
