It feels a bit odd, even when realizing its not to scale. I dont know what to think it would be best however, as I wouldnt find it great if they did it in a proper scale but having to scroll up and down because the bigger continents not fitting into the screen. Maybe the island zones should be tinier but with easy options to click and zoom on them but this view could be subjective.
I guess we can expect to get a new continent or whatever to the west of Kalimdor. They probably wouldnāt put so much space there for no reason.
They should just turn the map into a globe that we can turn. That way a whole ocean on the other side of the planet would open up for stuff.
they made the right choice. Good!
Thatās what she said.
It feels kinda⦠weird to me otherwise.
the world of warcraft is flat everyone knows this.
donāt believe the clever cinematics they show you during the storyā¦
it is all a deep and dark ruse to give people the wrong impression.
I saw a map comparison a while ago on MMO-champion, but itās indeed the same size as Northrend.
Now by saying size they could mean lorewise size too, but the gameplay size of the Dragon isles is indeed as big as that Northrend.
Tbh, now Iām playing in the beta it does feel bigger than that map makes it appear.
Lorewise size is not equal to gameplay map size which is also not equal to world map size
Itās a fine mess.
Gameplay size is more accurate to real-life size of islands (Closer than before at least)
Lorewise size is unknown and could change based on the whims of the writers
World map size is just for convenience. Many players will complain that they find it difficult to click on Kul tiras, zandalar and others if the actual size was taken into consideration.
They are reeeeeeeally streching the whole original idea about the shattered super-continent, Kalimdor to the point it no longer makes senseā¦
So back in the old days the area that later become the Dragon Isles was the part of Yogg-Saronās territory it seemsā¦
I wonder if we will see anything connected to Yogg-Saron in DFā¦
she lied though!
when sargeras inpaled azeroth you could clearly see it was a flat disc and the sword came out the other end
Wrath 2.0 vibes!
funny no one has seen it all this years
It was hidden by magic⦠I think
Maybe even spacetime was warped around it so ships and sailors couldnāt see it or accedantly sail in to itā¦?
