Azj-Kahet question

Is there some special reason why there are no world quests there, 'cause for me the weekly sparks of war quest is a skip on this zone?

Greetings.

In order to gain access to Azj-Kahet world quests you need to follow four steps:

• reach level 80
• finish Azj-Kahet campaign
• complete “Uniting Severed Threads” quest
• complete “Severed Threads Pact” quest

I hope this helps.

Have a great day!

That’s pretty much right.

OP has completed Azj-Kahet, and is level 80,

“Uniting Severed Threads” is part of the requirement for completing Azj-Kahet, so that must be done.

Do you actually have to choose your weekly pact to see WQ there?

Head to

in Azj-Kahet and pick one of the three to support this week. See if the WQs appear.

That’s correct.
You need to choose a pact in order to gain access to world quests.
I believe the intention behind this design is to remind players to choose a pact as it resets with the weekly reset and some players would likely forget about it and complete the world quests without them contributing to any faction.

… whereas what actually happens is that I get the quest on my first character, and then complete the world quests on my second without picking up the quest … AGAIN. At least, that’s what I do! :person_facepalming:

If the devs wanted to do that, they should have made each character pick up the quest first.

Ah ok. Thanks. If only AI were smart and informed you when it saw you pick up the sparks quest that you would need to choose a pact in order to be able to have world quests in the zone.

This is my mistake.

I did a quick research and found out the weekly pact is account-wide.

The PACT is account-wide, yes.

BUT

each character still has to pick up the weekly before doing WQ (even though they’re available) to unlock the Special Assignment.

It’s all very messy. Bad design.

It certainly is, considering the world quests don’t differ from faction to faction.
Or at least I haven’t noticed any differences, but that could be me not paying enough attention.

Turns out there was a quest ‘Of pacts and patrons’ from the NPC you mentioned which I hadn’t completed and completng it unlocked the wqs. Many thanks.
