I need this let for my EK Safari achievement and have had a char on Jaguero Isle for what seems like a couple of months. I log in at random times perhaps 2-3 times a day but it’s always a sunny day and so the ape is not there. I know the island has its own microclimate but I think it must be undergoing some major drought from what I’ve seen.

Does anyone know if the weather is totally random there? Is there an add on I can use? I’m checking the AH as well but no one seems to ever sell them.

Here are a few tips that I’ve given to people having the same issue with this pet and others based on climate (it’s a pain in the butt!)

  • Make alts on multiple servers and park them at Jaguero, then you can rotate through them all once every few hours just to check climates.
  • It rains for about 20mins, so it’s easy to miss the rain :crying_cat_face:
  • When it does start raining sometimes it can take about 10 mins for the apes to spawn
  • The pet cannot be caged, so unable to go on AH
  • WM on and WM off are different phases too so will have different climates, bear that in mind
  • Make sure to give a headsup in /1 or a group in group finder if it does rain to help others!

It is as random as the devs can make it. They commented specifically on this. The WarcraftPets Discord has a @WeatherEU role for pings, but it’s rare to see one.

You should keep your Custom Groups up when camping, because people often make groups when they are camping and find rain. And if you get lucky, make one yourself.

Wild pets are not cage-able and therefore can’t be traded

Them Weather related Pets were a real pain to get meself way back when… there’s also the one in Tanaris with the Sand Storm.

There is also one in Storm peaks that requires it to be snowing. I found my pet in storm peaks when I was hopping between unborn valk’yr spawn points. By amazing luck after I got the snow fox I went to Icecrown and the first spot there she was, complete with blue writing.
