Back after 10 years but stuck at first quests (greyed out accept)

Hey all…

So this is frustrating… wanted to experience some nostalgia from 10 years ago… lvling my druid in wotlk. but im stuck at the 1st quest. I abandoned the first quest then i want to retake. but now i cannot retake the quest… any quest i cant accept. I can talk to the npc… i see the chat but the accept button is greyed out. i can only click on decline.

Any solutions?

I already did heartstone, and reload UI. restart game and wait 2 days… but its still there. I also tried another class but whatever class i try quests are greyed out…Help please… this is not rly welcoming me back

First quest… delete your character and start again? :slight_smile:

So what was the problem?

I think we can extrapolate what the quest was from the scant information provided.

He said he made a Druid, so it’s a safe bet that it will be a Night Elf Druid.
He said it was the first quest, so it’s going to be the first quest in Shadowglen.

So the quest that he couldn’t accept was most likely The Balance of Nature - kill 7 Mangy Nightsabers and 7 Thistleboars.

Ok… he could be Horde, but given that he posted on an Alliance character, I’m guessing he went Alliance this time round.

Maybe write out what the problem was and how to fix it`?

Incase any one else has that in the future.

If I recall correctly from two years ago, quests up to 5 are auto accepted as soon as you talk to the NPC. It can get confusing if you don’t notice it on the tracker, and by the acknowledging sound.

Also, on slightly higher level characters, the game pushes the welcome quests on us - to visit Legion, to Shadowlands, etc. - I could abandon them from the quest log, but logging back and revisiting Orgrimmar did auto-accept them again. (I wouldn’t mind so much with the old quest UI without the map, but this new one is a mess. Also, it adds various NPCs talking every time I visit a city.)

I prefer Call to Arms boards and available quests on the map.
