I would like to backup my game settings like positioning UI elements and addon settings. I now see that game folders have changed since I actively played. There are separate classic and retail folders. Do I need to backup Interface and WTF folders from both classic and retail folders? And yeah, I did play little of Classic content, so I’d like to back up both games.
Also, there is “Icons” folder next to Addons folder in Interface folder, which contains over 14k files. Do I need to back them up as well?
Is there anything new regarding folder paths affecting what should be backed up that I should be aware of?
Settings for the different versions of WoW are saved seperately so yes, you need to backup Interface and WTF folders from each WoW version you want to backup.
I don’t have Icons folder so it is likely some addon came with it or you installed it manually for some reason. Some weakauras tend to use extra icons etc so that is one possibility. Although I have no idea if those icon are in the correct location.
