Ah 207, even better. I don’t count the castle nathria stuff as it’s group content, which the person whom I was reply to doesn’t do.
I just hope we can upgrade our covenant gear further in 9.1.
what types of games do you enjoy ?
because if you dont enjoy wow, dont pay to play it. im certain there are other games out there where you can both enjoy and get good (dont need to be a pro gamer).
Telling someone to get better at something when he’s bad at something is how the whole world works and it has nothing to do with elitism.
Quit making excuses and move on.
MOBAs, shooters, i just dont like ranked modes very much, only sometimes with irl friends, mostly casual modes to chill out. Here I feel I have to do ranked to have fighting chance .
Random or rated battlegrounds, because that means rated battleground.
so dont play wow. games are for entertainment. if you cant find the game entertaining, or worse, you hate the game, dont play it.
i unsubbed because i cant stand SL. many others as well.
But this is game not world. To me playing games is like playing cards with my brother. It is basicly small scale multiplayer too and you dont sweat or tryhard it…
I play it because I have almost more memories there than in irl, I was growing up there and I am this angry because I cared about that game. If it was any other game I would just move on already…
But this is an MMO, a card game and an MMO is nothing alike. While cardgames do take some skill, it is mostly luck involved.
But with MMOs your skill matters much more, for example, if you do a mythic 14+ you will get rewarded with 226 loot. Great !
If you only do World Content, or unranked PvP, then you will only get less rewards for doing easier activities.
Effort = Rewards, as it should be.
That some gear is gated behind content or a certain level which most players do not reach is fine (I am one of those anyways), IF the power and ilvl gap wouldn’t be this absurd. And well, the one-shot mechanics don’t help either.
PvP is sort of balanced around 220+, a level many casuals never reach. They will simply never experience the content they do in a somewhat balanced way. That is just …
My takeaway from this expansion is the following:
-
Drastic changes were made just before the expansion launched which put a few classes in the lurch.
-
Raid loot was nerfed after week 1 to try and stop the 1% from gearing too fast and this failed but succesfully hindered the average player from gearing in Normal which has a knock on effect with other content
-
They released a vendor for PvP with targetable gear and clear goal, they didn’t have a forsight to do this with PvE until now and it still sucks because it’s not the same as the PvP vendor
-
Specifically designed content to slow down the player forcing them to progress slowly (gated weekely content, Torghast drip feeding)
All of the above tells me this expansion was designed for not fun in mind but a anchor placed on the playerbase a holding pattern if you will before Blizz can get their act together for 9.1
That’s if they actually finish 9.1.
Ahah. In TBC you will never get any close to high end players if you are not raider. Retail is way more welfare than anything in TBC.
My bad, I ment random, will edit in a sec.
So on TBC, Wotlk, Cata, Pandas and WoD WoW was not MMO. Never had any problems there playing like I play and enjoying it… Good to know.
Yes, it a game… based on interactions between real people who set real standards so you can’t just throw “its a game” card and expect everyone to bow to you.
To put it simply you are not in a position to demand anything from anyone and if you don’t like it go play single-player games.
There is huge difference between TBC and retail. Even though TBC will never be as it was before, there are some limits. First thing is raids are not as hard as mythic raids now thus they can be beaten by wider range of people. For PvP there is honor gear which is second BiS and arena gear which is BiS. Only weapon and helmet is 1800 rating and sholders are 2200. You can easily live without these and still have very good times in random BGs.
Right now you go random BG with 200 ilvl - unless you are at least twice as skilled and little bit more lucky than your opponent you wont beat 220 ilvl guys because gear matter way too much.
you will be stomped into the ground in TBC just like in retail cause as you said
you don’t have the Skill any amount of gear will never help you to enjoy random BGs
Only thing that will help you is to improve adapt and overcome everything
stop being scared just go and play and learn find people they will help you duel them lose win and lose again
To improve as a human being or as a gamer you need to lose
you need to be bad
there is a point where your bad gameplay will change
I never knew how to raid with people in TBC but there was a person who said to me come it doesnt matter they will told you what to do
and i healed gruul lair 11 years ago on private server
3 years later
i died on normal ragnaros as a restoration druid in FL more than 20 times in row because i was knoced down from platform people were mad but they helped me
after some time with them I healed last phase of HC rhyolit alone when my partner holy paladin died
and people told me man you are good you improved over time
and after that i was in every raid
in BFA i was in guild
and i help them to achiev ahead of the curve on jaina
i was helping people with their rotations with their m+ weekly
with everything until i was officer
There is a natural progress in your life or in game
and it’s on you if you take it or throw it away and stay in one spot for 10 years.
By not having skill I ment more like I am not able to push 1400 on 200 ilvl character atm cause at least half people I meet have better gear or 2k+ exp in 3v3 and my skill is not high enough to ouplay somebody with same or better skill when he is also geared with current power gaps between 15-20 ilvl. On main I am 1550 atm in 2v2 and 1600 in 10v10 and my lifetime peak is 1800(on Wotlk). But now you need much more skill than usually to overcome gear which is just too strong. Same goes for random BGs which are supposed to be casual content but now they are filled with 35-40k hp people often stomping me. If it was TBC and I had full merciless with 3-4 vengefull pieces I would still lose to better players but not because of gear gap but because of being worse than him.
I dont mind losing, I do mind losing when I go paladin vs paladin for example, we both use same stuff and I take him 40% hp in full burst and he takes me 100% in even shorter time… And that in general I prefer playing unranked content.
But if it’s lose lose than you don’t need gear at all and you don’t need to play this game at all
there is only one option for you
improve to do things like many others or just leave to different type of games
have you seen unranked pvp
ppl dont care about objectives and winning
ppl actually honor leeching or botting in rated bgs
queue is rigged to be against premade sometime
how did this pass to live its a joke
This game is large enough for everyone to find their fun, that’s why it’s so popular.
If you want to be up there with the cream of the no-life, you have to work for it. For me, I don’t give a damn about PvP, even most of the PvE. I’ll tank some dungeons, because that’s what I like to do, but mostly I have this enormous incredible world to explore, and help people with their trouble. I’m like the one-panda A-team mixed with Kwai Chang Caine.
And more than that - I have one goal to achieve: to discover the recipe for the Ultimate Brew!
