Bag sorting

Hi, can we get an actual fix for the bag sorting algorythm? Instead of filling up the bags from top to bottom and put items into every single bag, we could have a from bottom to top sorting and start with the most bottom bag (or the first from right to left). This is incredibly unintuitive and inconvenient to have an absolutely random bag after sorting.

Upon pressing the sorting button, fill up the combined bags from the most bottom bag by item quality in a descending order and going from the bottom right slot up to the top left slot from a right to left horizontal direction (or left to right, it wouldnt matter).

I can somewhat see the logic behind this sorting algorythm. I’d assume the devs took the non-combined bags as default but forgot or didnt bother to make a fitting algorythm for the combined version. It’s inconvenient for the non-combined default version as well though.

I am perfectly aware of the bag addons that would make my life easier in this regard but i don’t want to use addons unless it’s absolutely necessary and/or mandatory for the given content. This should’ve been fixed after the UI changes got pushed to PTR/Beta but assumingly people didn’t care about these changes and tested classes and mythic plus content instead as usual.

I would like if we could choose the sorting order from a selection of options.

For example choosing to sort from bottom to top, or top to bottom, and then choosing the order of the item types. Consumables > gear > trash, gear > consumables > trash, etc.

Same. The more add-ons you have the more likely it is for you to encounter very irritating ui bugs. I try to minimise add-ons as much as possible.

Theres a c_var that controls sorting direction. If set to true, it sorts bottom to top, if set to false, it sorts top to bottom.

I can’t remember the specific c_var, but blizzard actually have a webpage about it, somewhere.

I think it may reverse the order as well and wont change the top to bottom.

Left click the top left corner and select what type of loot goes into which bag.
