yes but hard isn’t impossible, and it isn’t as unusual as you make it out to be. The overwhelming majority of bg players are:
sub 1500 rating peak
have little to no clue as to what the objective of the bg is
have little to no awareness, to the point that you can stand in the middle of them and recap flags while they look at their maps
have little to no ability to sense danger (hey, that warrior has zerk buff, saltwater pot buff, avatar and is running right at me - maybe i should run away or press a defensive?)
many bgs don’t even have anyone press bloodlust in them - for the entire duration of the bg, while being repeatedly asked to do it in whisper and in bg instance chat
and then you add in the people that have no gear, or are legitimately afk, and you can see why I have 70-80%+ winrate on every character on my checkpvp in 10 man bgs, and 65-75% in all 15 man bgs.
And this is why I prefer to avoid playing with randoms pugs and I mostly play in premade. xddd
You just described how terrible it is to play with pugs.
Can I gain more than I lose going solo? I always did, in every expansion I’ve played, at least at 10-15 Bgs. But going premade saves you bad from moments and it allows us to sweep enemy premades that going alone would beat me.
