I Recently played solo shuffle as Healer and got tilted lost my cool to some comments from players that are not even worth to mention , for context a mage that is playing middle map to destro lock and hunt and not moving , i usually start saying HIDE BEHIND PILLAR , if he doesn’t , i say something sarcastic in the form of , you’re allergic to hiding or the concept of lining the enemy is to hard now a days.
Yes , i agree it was borderline toxic, that was the only way i could exterior the frustration after seeing the same movie repeat and repeat again. I am ashamed.
I got a 7 days, i didn’t even appeal it.
I got back in the game , i play again no more insulting or being sarcastic.
I got one night where i was getting frustrated again , and the only mistake i made was to say , you guys never setup kills , if zug zug doesn’t work you’re completely lost on what to do , or something along , is it too hard to interrupt one sheep, i just resubbed and 2 h later i get a 10 day ban.
i’m not here to appeal the ban , i’m here to understand WHY the guy that is afk , the guy that says i’m sorry but you’re gonna lose this game because the other dps is just RUDE (i’m the healer) why those players are even allowed to log in.
Next time , i’m sure i’ll get banned for saying the f word in general , i never been banned for being toxic or insulting people and now i’m getting banned twice in less than on week ?
How the system works, should i disable the chat and never talk again unless its a private chat ? How come in 200 games+ you lose your cool once, i get banned, the guy is literally ruining the fun by losing intentionally, still get to play the game ?
What annoys me the most is, i just got back in the game and get banned right away, i asked this time a chatlog for anything abusive i said , even if i said you’re dumb for following him behind pillar. Or even something borderline like world of monkeys that shouldn’t justify a 10 day ban. I feel like being robbed by blizzard.
Mind just that everything i say it is in general, i am not harassing people, and i don’t mind bad players what tilts me the most is bad behavior i have no respect for someone trolling games that other dps wait 30 min to play and thinks that they have the right to give up on intentionally dying because they are just losing. But even in that i never go and /w or insult the guy, i just go next frustrated.
But i say something in the chat and get banned 7 days —> then 10 days , i’m not justifying toxicity , i am not .
I queued into SS, I lose the first round, the disco is horribly undergeared and gets destroyed without using a single active. He leaves, and I get to lose rating because of him leaving. So i’m in a great mood.
So i queue up again, 30 mins later ended up being in a prot paladin match which did not really favour my class and the paladin didn’t seem to like using shields on anyone else. I go 2/4, and tell the prot pallies how i feel about prot pallies queing SS.
My Sub runs out on 22nd of this month, I shan’t be resubbing.
Too risky nowadays , freedom of speech ain’t a thing anymore , you get banned over trivial stuff that are for some reason considered “toxic”.
As if the real world is a world of carebears full of kindness and soft messages.
Any thing that is not seen as “friendly” can cost you a ban today, even if it’s just something as “PLEASE USE BLOC OMG”.
Yes, these kind of comments can get you banned. Don’t use chat.
I don’t know I’ve never got behaviour warnings for losing my cool in shuffle but I got a warning because of jokes I made through /yell in Valdrakken on my RetPally, some people found it fun and participated to joke some clowns found it offensive and probably reported and that’s it. You’ll eventually run into clowns.
I will never limit my speech in order to avoid reports or bans, if someone makes me angry they deserve whatever I say, if I get banned I’ll just leave the game forever because what binds me here is the past of this account.
Disabling chat in an mmorpg sounds stupid. Interactions between players is what makes this game fun it doesn’t necessarily have to be positive interaction. So be a GigaChad and continue to type as you want, if you get banned remember that your ancestors lived without world of warcraft for 1950-2000 years, so can you.

That’s the best piece of advice. I always thought maybe make them understand why what they did is wrong, so they learn.

From what i understand , i’m allowed to troll games because someone pissed me off , and i’m not allowed to talk or point some mistakes. Fair !!
It’s the only reason keeping me subbing again, i like farming mount and do various contents casually my account has 12 years xD, and you know what the fact that i pay them and they ban me without even sending the chat that got me flagged is messed up, but i know why they do that : sending chat logs that are fake positives with their report system can be hold against them as proof that in fact you get auto banned and no one is reviewing the actual logs.
Update i’ve been sent as they say a sample of my toxic message and i quote (Mind you they are all in general)
As far as what was said that lead to this action, I’ve included just a few examples:
“are you dumb”, “it was your fault , YOU F UP”
“Im not trinketing again the f*** ing monk”, “f*** ing dont kick”, “A WAR WHO F*** ing TANK TWO CASTERS FOR 10 min”

I guess it is my bad for using the f world a lot and half of the chat is taken out of context,
and i am pretty sure there is some bad words like
" those ta*ds chassing me ahah"
I get it , i admit i lost my cool it was one bad night i am ashamed my temper got the best of me, but it wasn’t that bad for 10 day , now i feel like its my fault for letting blizzard the occasion to activate 10 days extortion.
Anyways lesson learned:
1- Deactivate the chat , (You can troll as long as you want , as long as you keep your chat shut).
2- If you are obligated to talk make long sentences, so the system read the whole thing.
But this is the very definition of toxic, and far from sarcastic (only “Really good f job is” sarcastic, the others are straight up toxic).
Also, the problem is not with the f-word, as you might think. It’s with the intention of your messages - that they are demeaning, rude and meant to insult and make somebody feel bad. Most would have been reportable with or without the f-word.
There is a huge misconception in the WoW community about what counts as verbal abuse and is therefore reportable. It’s not the use of certain words, but always the intention. You can say “fing great job" or "let’s fing go!” or “we f***ing got this” and even though you did use the f-word, it was with a positive tone and nobody would find it offensive and nobody would report you. But you can say something like “SERIOUSLY WHAT !?!?!?!” and even though you didn’t use a “bad” word, this could come up as aggressive and toxic (I personally wouldn’t, but this would be reportable 100%).
When you argue “it wasn’t that toxic” or “I’ve seem much more toxic things”, you admit it was bad and you’re now arguing about the line. When does something slightly bad become really bad? It’s bad nonetheless.
If you try to rationalize what you said, or look for sympathy on the forums, you will basically “summon” toxic people who will tell you that it was ok, because “nowadays everyone is an oversensitive p***y” or “there are no real men any more”. This does nothing good for you honestly, as you will not be unbanned, you will still get banned for the same thing in the future, and the WoW team will never ever change their stance on toxicity and relax the rules (they should improve the automatic reporting system though).
But the more you come to terms with the fact that you can’t control what other people do and how they play and there’s nothing you can do about it, the less it will tilt you and the less you will feel the urge to get back at them.
I used to be super toxic in my twenties and got more anger and anxiety and stress out of playing than fun and enjoyment. Today, I meet as many annoying players as I did 10 years ago, the difference being that I no longer have a problem with that, because I’ve realised “that’s how it is” and it is out of my control. Being toxic didn’t change anybody, and for sure, didn’t work out well for me.
You are wrong since some of the chats that were send to me got taken out of context, it focuses primarly on bad words first.
I will be clear one thing since , i have to explain , i am NOT asking for sympathy, but i didn’t harass people , it come as negative i understand that and like i said:
This game specially solo shuffle is team game , what is the point on typing “Go mage” and the guy go afk on the ennemy healer getting kited and die while cc, blizzard should consider upgrading the report system to deal with these types of players, the point is,we play to win , everyone wants to win, when one single player, not because he is bad , but refuse to play as team and do whatever cross his mind , as healer makes me frustrated and yet i will get insta queue later, imagine for the dps that were waiting 30 minutes.
The problem that got me banned isn’t one game or 10 games of solo shuffle its the build up of many players that refuse to play as team or behave in the way loser for loser might as well afk, when i see the amount of players that have that behavior specially 1400-1700cr, i have the biggest RESPECT For the healers and they should be rewarded with a mount or title just for playing healer.
Blizzard says it well , the action of one player doesn’t give you a free pass to be toxic and i agree.
My problem, is with the queue timing as dps, like you i’m not that young anymore , i have about 3 hours max of game time, and i have to endure that other kind of toxicity, where a player give up ,or does what he wants to do ignoring me and my other teammate. I cannot change how players play or control it , and the game isn’t balanced we saw it with Rets and even tho these rets have 0 chance of wining a 1k5 game in 3v3 , you see them 2k in RSS , depending on your class you can’t even make sure to secure 3-3 my point is there is a lot we cannot control, but the only behavior that is condemned by blizzard is the verbal one.
Rude and verbal abuse or inappropriate language isn’t the same thing
I never said otherwhise , i just said that 10 days or even 7 days is extortion.
They could ban me from solo shuflle
They could silence my account.
They give a 3 days ban or warning.
We are paying for the game, it is not free. and Sending a template email without any details is just insane for me.
That was the whole point of this thread, those reports, even if the message are toxic, there is a level of toxic and a context. For me the mute button is more than enough to ignore toxic people. I am in no way verbally or specifically abusing someone. If they feel concerned with this comment , is deep down they know there is a part of truth.
I won’t because this is the last time i will use the chat in game. and BTW i never got banned for toxicity this is the first time, well technically second time in one month.
But first time i clearly deserved it.
The amount of time i encouraged people and said nice things, because they tried their best , is far more the few instances were i lost every brain cell. Sadly you are not recompensed for being friendly.
Imagine if solo queue was real solo queue , you queue —> you play one match and go next.
