Ban boosting

So then why not just remove gold from the game

The consequences of the selfishness and stupidity of all those who participated in or used the RMT/gdkp/boost/etc services…

And yeah, it’s cancer :slightly_smiling_face:

What if they remove raid lockout (or made it 24/48 hours), would people still want GDKP? And made raids 10 man AND balanced for random groups of 10/20 man?

Why pay for loot when you literally can spam the raid?

I honestly thought the removal of xp gain from a group with a member 10 levels or more above the rest as was added in wrath classic was for all versions of wow? Are you telling me lvl 60s can again boost for gold below level 51? If so that is indeed cancer and should be remedied immediately.

I guess its working, no idea why.
Ppl still looking for boosts and mages offering that as normal.

Blizz help us finally!

Boosting literally also can be seen as a problem when taking into consideration the Bluepost of the reason why GDKP got banned.

I mean seriously. Boosting (as a service) does erode the social structures that are part of the spirit of the game as much as GDKP does.
Forming a group of people at your lvl, finding new friends due to that process or at least new mates you add to your friendlist that you want to continue playing with somewhat later (after the dungeon is cleared) etc…

But I also want to say: Boosting a friend (not as a service you offer for gold in a public chat channel but as a gift to another friend) is in my opinion no problem at all. It becomes a problem the moment it starts becoming a business.

And yes, there are also Boosters that run this service to sell the earned gold via RMT.

So for me there are 2 reasons why Boosting-as-a-service should be banned:

  1. eroding social structures that are part of the spirit of the game
  2. RMT (Gold selling/ buying)

Both points also affects players that are not offering or buying Boosting as a service in a negative way.

In this regards:

Is not an option, because also if you dont participate in it…youre affected by it.

Game design for a 20 year old masterpiece should not be defined by the whims of the mass.

I say, if you do not like leveling in Classic → Go to retail, play Overwatch, or throw the computer out the window and start living.

Actually forget the first two, go straight to #3.

Why you still talking to this hängengeblieben?

Nobody is stopping anybody from playing whatever they want - You gotta re-read my message.

It’s a joke, servers been out less than a month and people selling boosts for 10-15g in some instances and portal summons 5g, by the time TBC is out the server will be lost
