Ban logs from sod!

The amount of people fixating about Numbers and perfection is insane. It absolutely kills the game, The fun, the vibe and everything what classic stands for. People aint doing mechanics cause they are afraid to lose dps. They can press buttons like a bot but they cant do a simple mechanic like moving away from fire. And the amount of toxicity this brings. Pls for the love GET RID OF LOGS. Keep that to retail.

I feel like you would also kill the game in another way if you banned logs

Cutting the donkeys ears will not gonna transform it to horse…

So just hear me out, you dont moe from fire and die, how will that improve your logs?

xD why loggs bann

There are two things to be said about logs, one good, one bad.

Good - having logs shows everyone that you were able to complete the raid. Good cause then people are reassured that everyone in the raid has experience and so it’s unlikely they’ll spend 3 hours wiping cause half the raid has no idea what they’re doing.

Bad - the min/maxing no-life andys who require all purple/orange parses before they invite someone. I personally havent had that issue, though a lot of people on forums complain about it, so I guess I must have been lucky in the tomes I joined a pug (rather than host one myself. Rare, but happens, sometimes I don’t have the patience to host).

From my experience, most people only check logs to see the “good” point (myself included). Retail has this in the form of achievements, but that isn’t a thing here, so I guess logs are its equivalent. It’s not about only inviting sweatlords, but rather trying to make sure people know what to do. No one (and I believe OP included) enjoys spending 3-4 hours wiping on a raid that could be done in 30min-1hour.

logs IS the fun.

What reason is there to play the raid outside of seeing how your progress and ranking increase week by week as you get more gear?

Grey parser detected, opinion rejected.

But the high parsers are the worst people to bring to raid.

They are the ones who ignore mechanics so they can pump.

I would rather bring a 80 parser than a 95+ parser.

When IRL you’re getting ordered around by your GF to mop the floor, being the “general” who is all strict and “No weaklings in my group” makes living with yourself easier i reckon.

I am joking ofc. these dudes never had a GF in their past 17 lives.

they experiment with banning GDKP’s, might as well experiment with banning logs just to see what happens

Personally I don’t like the idea that I can be forced into having my logs displayed on a third party site without my consent.

Yes I understand fully why it is there and why it is used and why it can be helpful to make sure a pug is not awful and can perform.

I still didn’t consent to having my data uploaded to a third party website. So screw it, ban it. The only peoples logs that should be visible are the ones with an account on the website and their character claimed. Everyone else’s data, past, present and future; should be censored. And until it is, ban it.

Cause again, I did not consent to this.

Feel free to sue them. On a more serious note: If you ban logs, people will look even more at your gear. If you dislike the parsing culture, just look for a casual run, there are a lot of ppl who dislike it aswell so it shouldnt be an issue to get a full grp.

PvP for example.
