Of course not, next thing you know they’ll be expected to re-imburse game time or something ;p
But I’m happy for you your (super carefully placed) ban got lifted.

To all the Blizz fan bois here - It ain’t hard in todays day and age to boost your own chars in dungeons… you don’t need software to do it, you just walk into the entrance and sit there and eat the XP. If it’s a dungeon that requires you to move around a bit… boost someone else and /follow on them with your boostee…
TLDR - did nothing wrong and they lifted the ban. Blizzard DOES automate bans on new accounts that level too fast in too many instances.
Boosting; unless for RL currency, isn’t against the rules.
You mean like capping the amount of damage a player can do with AoE spells?
That’swhat happens in TBC.
So I assume you three clowns will be apoligizing to the OP, right? Any moment now…
Honestly, a year ago I would have also gone “so you botted har har har”, but I have seen so many mistakes by Blizzvision here and on Reddit and in my own guild, I only have contempt for Actizzard left. Please note ACTUAL bots are never touched, just players who trigger some alarm or get mass reported. I can not put in words how low Blizzard has fallen.
apologize for what?
why don’t I ever get banned for botting? How come I’m not triggering this imaginary false positive, while every once in a while there’s a clown on the forums crying about a ban he “didn’t deserve”?
“See, I was working on the roof, and the sun was very hot, and my phone was in my back pocket, and when I took it out the screen was cracked as if I sat on it, but I didn’t, honest!. Totally manufacturer fault! Their screen cracks at high heat!”
so he did boost himself, warranting a check into automating software usage.
Out of curiosity, did your summoner alts use automation like auto-invite, and auto-queue if someone types 123? Summoning without looking through raid UI to click summon?
A lot of the summoners I see use automation to some degree like that.
No, just easier if your level is 6 levels higher than the party members, the party members will not get any XP… or very little.
Might be required to make the limit to 10 since some dungeons for example have pretty wide level range for mobs. Or scale it from 6->10.
I remember in Diablo 2 it was like this (pre-expansion).
If you are level 45 and your friend is 51 then you get less exp than the 51. If your friend is 56 you would get very little exp.
My friend had a 60 level character in Hell difficulty and tried to leech XP from my kills when I was playing 78 level character. It was actually useless to do this since he gained so little exp. He would get more exp by killing lower level monsters by himself.
It was an excellent system… though they ruined it in LoD expansion when they introduced Party Bonus XP. Basically this bonus XP would overcome the penalty of level difference. So then everyone was in Bloody Foothills leeching exp with their level 25+ characters while 90+ characters made all the kills.
Another way could be to fix monster AI in dungeons.
If you kite a mob too long time it will either reset back or switch to some sort of ranged attack.
There are so many cheesy ways to trick the dumb AI with jumping around here and there.
Also one solution would be that you have to be much closer to the killed monster in order to gain experience. This can be avoided by kiting mobs from longer way to closer to the leechers.
You do know botters get their bans lifted as well, right?
Never it makes me only smile (big)
Enjoy your ban
From level 1 to 10 I actually did 2 warlocks at the same time, all the spells were /assist Warlocck1
/cast Immolate
I had to mouse between the screens and had a /follow macro for ease of use.
I levelled and boosted a friends warlocks at the same time and he was doing the same thing - nothing happened to his accounts but they were older than mine.
I never even got to the summoning part of using the account when it was banned - I’m pretty sure it set of alarms because it was a new account that did alot of instances in a few days (I capped out on one of them)
So you was account sharing?
Not sure this is true because from what I remember you’d boost through every difficulty then do cow level runs or Baal runs and as a leecher you’d level extremely fast
No - you can have 2 subscriptions on the same Bnet
They changed things a bit in 1.10+ patch so might be different from what I remember.
as always, i suspect there’s something the OP is not telling us here.
you’re leaving something out of your sob story for sure.
i have a friend who have 4 accounts in total that he uses solely to summon himself around the world. he uses his main to farm shards for his summoner alts in SFK and he has not been banned after months upon months of this practice.
same story as the one you are giving, but you’re clearly leaving something out, which is the determining factor for why you were banned.
you either botted in the past or you use 3rd party software to multibox or something along those lines.
