Banned for cheating while using VPN

Hi everyone.

I know this is not the place to appeal - I’ve been submitting tickets. I just want to know how I can escalate my appeal to the right teams. I’m also hoping that maybe a GM sees this post and can forward my appeals to the game security team to investigate closer.

My account was permanently banned a couple of days ago for cheats/hacks. The things is I’ve obviously never done that. I’ve never had a suspension or ban on my account before either. The only thing I can think of that happened was that I use NordVPN to fix some lag/ping issues I’ve been having recently. Before I got banned I was having a particularly bad case of high MS and was turning my VPN off and on several times in quick succession - did that maybe trigger something in the system?

The only other programs I have running while playing WoW are Raiderio, CurseForge, WarcraftLogs Uploader and Greenshot (a better snipping tool).

My appeal has been met with the templated responses, but I really need this to be properly reviewed, which I don’t think it has been.

I’m seeing so many posts of people complaining about similar things, I’ve even had a friend experience the same.

To think we pay good money, to get our accounts automatically revoked, and then cannot even speak to a human being besides some horrible automated customer support copy-paste responses.

Its a good thing upper executives are getting paychecks/bonuses in the 10’s (sometimes 100’s) of millions.

Its really sad to see my childhood favorite game company devolve into automated AI garbage.

Sad to think that we support this with our hard earned money while they clearly do not care.
