I’d like to see people’s opinions on the Wailing Banshee’s Collection / Forsaken’s Grotesque Collection sets.
I absolutely love these two variants, and would 100% find use for them.
However, one thing that bothers me is the face on the chestpiece, on some races it looks extra bulky and does not look good to me at all.
One could in theory replace the chest with a different one, but I’m sure there’s people who would use the chest + legs and mix and match with different pieces for a different look. The face just looks too disruptive for that.
I think this is the case with a lot of TP sets nowadays, you just can’t really take a few pieces and make them work with some other pieces of gear.
Having a similar option as the Sylvanas’ Ranger set where you can pick either a chest with or without a quiver would be super neat, specifically for this set.
Thoughts?
Please Blizz, just copypaste a new chest item without the extra 3D piece! <3

To me the set looks nice in general, but it doesn’t really fit a theme or aesthetic that I’m after for any of my hunters. So I’ll take the free one from the Traveler’s Log bar, but I’m not buying the other one.
As for 3D pieces; yeah there’s up- and downsides to that.
Sometimes those 3D pieces work pretty well with a tabard, to create a new aesthetic.

Right! But I think I wouldn’t hurt whatsoever to just have an extra chest without that 3D piece. These things can interfere heavily with whatever transmog one wants to create.
… hadn’t really looked at it that closely - but if they had removed the nose and mouth, then it would have mirrored the head and shoulder look abit better

Thing is nobady really cares about tansmog or any sort of vanity items what are easy to get by majority of people. Most people want to feel unique and special so only mog they care about are rare few sets what only few people can get. if you make everything welfare for everyone and reward it for some mindless tanks then such rewards will never be fun or excting.
That’s just your personal take, you don’t speak for the whole player base.

Yes, there are players who feel that way. Like… You?
But many players just want good looking transmog; doesn’t matter where it’s from.
It’s about the look.
I am one of those people.

also I noticed in wowhead post pics about armors. EVERY human-male mode. I guessed blizz style alwasy for human male body. Dont check how fits other races…

The thing that bothers me is that they are still making mounts that can’t fly, making them worthless for 99 pct of the content
Its not i do speak for entire playerbase becouse thats literaly basic human psychologi.
Its a very mid trading post this month. I will be saving my currency this month, the mog is the only somewhat tempting purchase there and even then ive already previewed it on my worgen and am not really keen to buy it when I have fitting mogs which well, fit.
Two wishes.
Chest pieces without the face.
Leggings without the butt-cape
While i do like that they got around adding more 3d elements to objects. I still very much prefer to have things simple.
Oh please, spare me the “basic human psychology” lecture. Slapping that phrase onto a dumb opinion doesn’t magically make it a fact.

Yeah, think I’d like that too. Without it, the whole set looks a good deal less Sylvanas-y, especially if you also hide the head… makes it much easier to use in different mogs.
I love this month’s theme, sadly all my currency went on catching up on and buying new mounts.
However they are good at adding them in to future listings as extras, so some day I might catch them.

I think mostly as long as it looks good on forsaken, it looking good on other races is a bonus.
As for mixing and matching, if a theme is obviously fit for the race the theme belongs too, all is good. I’ve had some success with picking pieces from TP sets and making something new with it, it definately does work.
I don’t like the mounts very much cause I’ve seen screenshots of undead sitting on it that clip through the armor with their legs.
They look neat by their own but clipping with the race they’re made for feels like negligence
I love this month because of the 1500 tenders and several reward tracks offering meaningful items - single tmog, set tmog and that mount. Think this should be the norm from now on while keeping the tender prices at current level.

Sure I picked the quiver up (rarely play hunter but quivers are cool) and the glaives are kinda nice options to have
those 2H swords are mehhhh and the sets could have been made a little darker for my liking with the undead theme
