Are you sitting there saying communism is a conservative idea and that it reflects its values?
I think you pulled the trigger on that one a bit early.

Communism has always been based on the fact that the less the people know, the more they shut the hell up and and keep on working like idiots. Definitely progressive… NOT ! Communism is against progress and for stagnation. You can see that in action right now in France, where the communist unions riot against the retirement age change.
Sorry, I can’t say it better here because of the forum’s “politically correct” policy
How you get to communism tho is the progressive way.
And no, communism in no way matches western conservative values in any way shape or form.
What i meant is that you painted me as an idiot on the basis of very little knowledge. But i see you just doubled down on it so i guess theres no hope for that one.
Back to our original deal. No, there will be no barber shops or transmogs.
@Stormsong
They are just trolling you mate, they think if they can have the last word / last post, then they have won the argument.
Classic is popular because it is Classic and not Retail.
“I want this”, “I want that” … you already have all those in Retail!
#NoChanges
Because we don’t need a 2nd Retail!
No it does not. Putting in a barber shop does not mean all those things will happen, you don’t know that. Having said that, no I don’t think a barber shop will happen but I wouldn’t mind one.
No to barber shop. You knew it wasn’t in the game before you started.
This was a tasty read this morning.
Anyone playing classic is NOT playing vanilla, its not 2004 anymore folks. People have changed, computers have changed, the internet has changed, communication systems have changed, class knowledge has changed, gear knowledge has changed, instance knowledge has changed, I’ve chnaged, you’ve changed, we’ve changed, the world changed.
As has been pointed out, if you really want #nochanges then you need to,
#nochanges failed HARD
It can easily be agreed that anything that would modify how you play (LFG, wow tokens, cash shop) are a big NO. However anything that is purely cosmetic (barber shop, tmog) has absolutley no effect on game play.
If someone mogs their tier 1 gear it means they’ve already got it, you cannot mog into an item you haven’t yet aquired. There is an arguement that gear is a symbol of status or an ‘Achievement’, which was something else not wanted in classic. So how does that work, you dont want achievements but you do want gear status (achievements)?
If someone changes their hairstyle (VERY appropriate for an mmo RP g) that doesnt effect you, nor does it change their dmg output or skill!
And just because they add a barber shop or tmog option doesn’t mean everything from retail will be added. The tmog should work how it did in cata, barber shop should have realistic ‘barber shop’ options (hair style & colour, facial hair, piercings).
Ultimately you could keep your ‘pretent perfect’ #nochanges classic and hope it somehow holds itself together long enough despite the falling subs and nostalgia wearing off.
OR
You could accept that in 15 years MANY things have changed and that actually adding a little flavour might just be enough to keep peoples interests in the project and help contribute to further projects like this in the future.
Then again some folks are just stubborn beyond stupid.
I had a 500Kbps ADSL connection when WoW came out.
I wrote a website that I uploaded to the .tk domain that was a simple live chat. No storage or scrollback but it worked.
Dottie i’m making a point!
You summed it up perfectly.
Except I also was already on DSL in 2004…
You forgot to tell them to have their memory wiped to forget all those years perfecting their gameplay in this game. If they want #NOCHANGES compared to 2004, they have to do that too.
No, we are going to keep classic as close as possible to vanilla. This means no changes.
And you don’t see the dichotomy there?
What i see is that we are not going to allow any changes just because classic is not 100% vanilla in its purest form.
There will be no changes that were not present in original vanilla outside of a techincal standpoint.
Extremists never see that kind of things.
You have to admire the fool standing proud on his sinking ship.
The ship that has sunk is retail. Why can you not go there and play instead? It has all the conveniences you want, you dont have to leave the city to do anything, its got barber shops, transmogs, free gear, everything your heart desires. Why do you want to turn classic in to another retail?
If the ship is scuttled then it was the nochanges brigade that did it. Small changes do not mean big changes are coming.
We don’t want retail, we want a few cosmetic things added to Classic.
If people are going to whine about premades n racials, I think its’ my RIGHT to whine about not having the barber shop.
Also the “nochanges” don’t have a leg to stand on, because there have been MANY changes already, sooooo… gimme barber.
GIMME BARBER I NEED TO STYLE MY HAIR TO MATCH MY OUTFIT PLEASE
Funny how you are saying there will be no barber shop like you are a developers or someone important. Wake up man, your word worth nothing for me if they implement a barber option it will cause no harm and the devs already changed a loads of things so put down your tin foil hat and forget that ridiclous nochanges stupidity.
