So i was talking with my guildys and we come with bard class.
3 specs
Support
Dps
Heal

Support could do buffs and moralising or demoralising should that last for less then a minute in area of bard and do debuffs too.
Would use a tamburine or some other instrument.

Dps is points sword and tamburine and would do close or ranged damage depending on hero spec and skill.

Heal would ofcourse heal with balads and songs that do that.Would be range healer.

Tip your opinions.Im interested in seeing what you come up with.

If I say that Bard has been a requested class in WoW for at least 10 years, I may be understating it. Use the Search function, see how many threads you get about it.

Id be fine with the game having more instruments as weapon transmogs & just RP as a bard.

None of the current guitars look good on my bard sets, either their colors are all over the place or the model doesnt look like something a bard would use.
All im asking for is a tame / boring looking guitar with brown colors, a basic guitar.

You already have Augmentation Evoker as a support class and look what they did to it. Another boring dps.

A multitasking bard master seasoned in his adventures would be able to play mandolin while shooting bolts of projectiles with an crossbow and chanting out a spell or two between his song :bow_and_arrow: :violin::musical_note:

But it has no mandolin, and it has to look like a lizard :dracthyr_a1:

Please no more support.

WoW hasn’t been designed for support in mind. And while it sounds good on paper, the reality is that you end up with a situation where other specs don’t get to feel complete, without having to have a support constantly hanging over them.

Not to mention that some specs are simply affected by buffs from support classes much better than others.

There is nothing wrong with WoWs design regarding support specs. The problem is that Aug is the only support spec and it created a monopoly. Its like if Mistweaver, for example, was the only healing spec.

Of all the possible classes for WoW, Bard is just about the lowest on the list for me in terms of fitting the setting and just general class fantasy.

I would be really, really disappointed if Blizzard would add a bard class over any of the way more appropriate ones for WoW.

Fair enough, but the difference between bard and tinker is that the basic idea and fantasy for a tinker has been represented in WoW in various forms already. So that just makes it fit better with the setting objectively.

My personal opinion would be that it would be cool :sunglasses:

In my opinion it would be disappointing if it would have to be lizard like evoker.

Supports and support classes giving auras and buffs have existed since vanil for the last 21 years. It is also your opinion how it would fit in wow not objective truth or absolute.

Here it is. But you wont like it:

Wow is not built to acomodate support rolls. If you want that, you need WOW2. As in, redesign the combat gameplay from scratch.

Until they do that, NO support rolls. Augmentation already proved the effects that has, and it was absolutely horrendous. NO THANKS.

As for these. Interesting concept. But you fail to mention a key aspect.

Gameplay wise, this new “bard spec” should offer unique gameplay. And I want to be really specific about what “gameplay” means. It means, mechanics. They have to be unique.

It cant be a copy paste or a mish-mash of existing specs with a different re-skin. It has to be unique.

So be more specific. Ranged healer, but how? Name some spells no other healer has. For example: Atonement. That is a MECHANIC that only DPriest has. Totems. That is a MECHANIC that only shamans have… ect…
