If money is your key driver then the base version.
If you find ÂŁ15 worth it for a character boost, pet and mount then the heroic version.

Base game is the best value. I’d buy a better edition at the end of the expandion for 50% off, if you really want the mount. Pre-ordering is always a bad deal though

Well depends on you realy .
Base is base and if u dont care about cometics its realy a no brainer why u should go higher .
Hero vs epic is more tricky , imho heroic isnt worth it . There is difference like 20€ and 13 of those 20 are month of game time included in epic ( if u dont buy with money or do t buy monthly then its not a big deal imo)
So you get few cosmetics for “7€” when u compare hero vs epic .

No, I mean, that’s it’s almost never worth, even if you like cosmetics, to buy it now, because you can just get it after release for 50% off during any sale event. (Refering to the editions above the base game)
Unless you are a billionaire, you buy it as a gift, or you are a big battle pet collector, it’s not smart to buy it now imo

Never realy checked those sales , but do they include everything included in pre orders ? Even if gametime and all those cosmetics ?
If yes then it is smart way to do it that way . Money wise at least
Yes, I still see the complete edition from shadowlands in my store with all those things included. I could also buy it during the summer sale recently, but I didn’t think, it was worth it

Even with 50% possibly off later, what they’ve got bundled there is better value.
The cheapest mount in the store is ÂŁ13,50. Lets call it ÂŁ7 with 50% off. The cheapest pet is ÂŁ9, so thats ÂŁ4,50 with 50% off. Thats a total of ÂŁ11,50.
A level 60 boost is £49 so they’d have to reduce that to £3,50 for the proposition to break even. So waiting is not worth it.
THE WHOLE BUNDLE of shadowlands is still available in the store. Do you read the stuff I write wrong on purpose to get attention all the time? You do this so often, it’s really weird/annoying
So to get your value bundle he’d have to wait until way after DF release when they drop the price to play the game?
Because they certainly don’t discount a new expansion from day one, which is when a reasonable person would assume he wants to play it from…

I can literally see the epic edition upgrade for 20 euro in my shop for shadowlands, and it gets discounted during holidays aswell. I’m just gonna put you on ignore, so I don’t have to read your annoying stuff

The base edition has all of the pre-order bonuses.
My advice: Get the base edition if you must have the pre-order stuff. Wait for summer / christmas sale to buy the heroic / epic edition as they do not contain FOMO items. An absolute win as long as waiting is not an issue with you.

I think this is really the best option. Buy basic now, upgrade later when it’s on sale or if you think you really need that boost you still will not spend more overall than what you’d pay for heroic/epic now.

I always go for the base edition. People pay an extra 30€ for digital goodies that whey won’t care for in a couple of months.

Normally I get the Base edition.
But I am considering the Heroic version this time, still pondering on it.
I certainly won’t be going for the Epic version, some game time and hat transmogs (I’ll likely never use) aren’t worth the extra cost in my view.
I always go for the whole shebang, I know they discount them later but I want it all now and I’m willing to pay the premium for that.
If you don’t care about having the fluff items immediately then go for the Base Edition.
