I really like bastion, it’s the best zone. Sure the layout is a little wonky but the campaign is a good story and is a lot of fun. I prefer it over other covenants such as ardenweald, that place is a bit of a boring mess

Me before Shadowlands: lol Kyrian that’s pure Human Male Ret Paladin bait not a chance I will join that Covenant.
Me after an hour in Bastion: Yo yo yo blue squad member reporting in where my wings at let’s follow this path!
Bastion and Kyrian is the best zone and Cov for me personally because of its theme. It’s basically WOW’s version of heaven. And the way the zone is structured is much better than any BFA zone.
That being said, all the zones in shadowlands are fantastic and each has something to tailor to everyone’s taste. I’d even go as far as to say these are some of the most diverse zones since BC.
Tempted to post a picture of Bastion, with a circle around some rocks… but I thought better than being corny.

Personally loathe Bastion, navigating the zone is like walking up a set of stairs, just annoying. So much obtrusive terrain.
Dislike Bastion.
The aesthetics are too bright and (spolier) the campaign so far has been “its only our job to get the souls here to be judged, the fact they all accidentally fell into the maw isn’t our job”.
They are literally the jobsworths of the wow universe.

Being Venthyr, as much as I love gothic england themes and feel it is a reflection of my soul, I do need to holiday to Bastion for some sunshine and rolling golden hills now and then. Whilst Ardenweald is gorgeous, it’s also dark. So much dark… I need the LIIIGHT
Bastion was… intersting
It was a bit disturbing , especially the part when you had to convince some strugling acolytes to continnue and some of them attacked you…
Or where you had to kill the Blackwings and their owl friends; okay self deffense, but still… we know, if someone dies in the SL its over forever, become raw anima, and while the Blackwings did just the same, killing them felt… wrong

Ardenweald was dark as hell, depressing… Maldraxxus was… a mess, thats true
But Ravendreth? Now I fell love with that place, the npcs, the whole enchilada!

While Ardenweald is the best zone for me, I do like Bastion. When I ride through the fields there it reminds me of that scene in the “Gladiator” movie.

If there’s one thing i absolutely dislike about SL it’s bastion.
The look, the npc, everything.
Corny, moanyangels is all i see, a mutated ripoff of the high heavens in diablo 3
The grass is nice i guess until your eyes start bleeding
The owlbros are the nr1 meme material of the expansion, but very childish
