So whenever I start a download from the Battle.net app on my computer (Windows 11) suddenly my computer uses 100% disk and becomes real slow/ freezes ‘forever’…
Task manager shows nothing above 0.1mb/s but it says 100% disk whenever I start to download wow from Battle.net.
My pc runs completely fine whenever I do Anything Else but download/ install wow…
Well task manager shows nothing, thats kind of the wierd problem here. There Are no tasks showing more then 0.1% disk usage but the ‘overall’ disk usage is still 100%. Only way I ‘know’ its battle net is because everything is running perfect until I start up Battle.net and wow start downloading then suddenly disk usage is 100% but no changes in tasks
Quick search finds several reports of NV2 going 100% use without clear cause. Plus from what I have read Kingston’s NV2 drives have been very unreliable.
My guess: faulty or about to fail drive. Make sure you have up-to-date backups. You can check disk information using Kingston’s own software or third party software like CrystalDiskInfo to see if there is anything obviously wrong with the drive.
