Hello. Do you think we will be able to fly in Battle for Azeroth zones without getting Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder achievements when Dragonflight releases? Is there any blue post about it?
I think they kept the pathfinder because BfA is now a leveling expansion. Still, they could just lock flying behind having to have at least one character at level 50.
Tried googling a bluepost on this, but did not find anything.
yes, in Shadowlands prepatch they allowed legion zones flying without pathfinders, except Argus
Ion did claim in a interview (I think it was with MrGM) that they will keep pathfinder for Bfa due to new player will level there and they don’t want them to fly while exploring the game!
So I think that they will keep same requirements as now!
I think explorer+loremaster+war campaign are ok for pathfinder but world quests and rep (which is basically just world quests) is just stupid.
Oh…
I was excited to hopefully be able to make a Dracthyr and soar through Zandalar (can only use the racial in zones where you already have the ability to fly).
And I revisit the BFA zones so rarely it’s just not worth the effort
It’s understandable and I agree with it.
Yeah I completely agree with the sentiment, though BFA is still an awful expansion to put those players in and I really hope they do something about that, they’ll probably shift Dragonflight down to being the default leveling experience next expansion.
I hope Dragonflight is an enough “default” Warcraft fantasy storyline instead of a supposed-to-know half-continuation of this weird timeline they have been crafting for the past 6 expansions.
Definitely.
There’s plenty of side things to do at end game and earn gear, but that’s probably not what new players would be doing while leveling (exp via the reps would be cool as hell and I’d certainly love that as an option for leveling alts).
Each expansion feels like self contained narrative and that’s really confusing for a new player to be thrown into.
Exile’s reach → BFA (oh Sylvanas is my warchief?) → gets to SL, or Dragonflight (wait, what happened to sylvanas?!)
If they want big narratives, they gotta make it so the new player plays through all of that narrative, and throwing them into content that was previously an expansion and endgame, is not a good approach at all.
And another thought on that: this is literally something that’s impossible for them to accomplish if they keep having the raids be part of that main narrative.
I agree with this… if you have done those on at least 1 char it should be fine and not grind revered rep i do not know how long on an expansion that is no longer relevant.
