Battle for Dazar'alor Mythic Raid Lockout

Am I the only one sick and tired of the Mythic lockout ?
In all fairness I do understand why the system is in place. BUT now they’ve made it an option for people to cross-realm mythic raids, Why is the lockout still in place then ? Happened to me last two weeks I’ve joined raids that are currently at Grong. Group does one or two pulls after I join it and then disbands, and then I get locked for the rest of the week and can’t do anything. It’s incredibly frustrating.

Is there anyone from Blizzard staff that can answer if this is something that will be looked at ?

What is there to look at?

You know what restrictions are there, you still choose to go with no hope groups. Choose your groups carefully, you know that the first boss is easy, the second is a massive step up.

Because Guilds would start replacing their own raiders with people who killed Mythic Jaina that week in order to down it themselves. Dunno, seems like a bad idea to me.

On the other hand it would help guilds that have a bunch of good players but not enough of them to do high end mythic bosses.

Well if you really want to PuG raids over the great divide called servers… try join a community, then you will at least share the lock out ID between eachother and function as a similar fashion as a guild.

dont pug find guild ? dont tink pug going make it past frist boss  pug are bad for mythic raids

Ok and let’s delete those restrictions. That’s the point of the thread.

Yeah, the amount of people who will go in and sub people in and out are going to be fringe cases.

I like the idea of a group save, it encourages you to find a guild, like you ideally should for mythic, but it heavily disincentivizes any sort of filling. If you’re short a couple DPS or a healer and it’s the end of the week, you’ll be waiting a while.

that’s where the cross realm option comes in place. Our guild currently helps out another guild located on another server filling their mythic roster, and they help us progress on heroic. We’re a casual guild with a couple of players with somewhat higher ambitions.

OT: if they remove those restrictions, then there’s nothing left PvE wise which needs a well coordinated group of players that know how to plat with eachother. PvE progression in current WoW is very pug friendly and there has to be something of a high tier challange reserved for skilled teams.

Otherwise there’d be only high lvl M+

Sure, but why fill with cross realm pugs when we could just reduce the numbers for Mythic. 20 people is too much in this day. I really miss 10 man raiding from WOTLK. I’m not asking for 10, but maybe 15.

that would require retuning the raids entirely. 20 is a fine number imo, and grouping for a mythic is hardly doable for a pug. The colaboration between our guilds is only possible because we’re both dutch only, and a lot of players know eachother.

10man raiding is still possible in both normal and heroic formats. Mythic is an added bracket for the ultimate PvE challenge

Yea, I disagree. I see plenty guilds who struggle to get a 20 good man line up. WoW’s numbers are down, maybe it works with 5 mil subs. Less so with 1.5 M.

Sure but HC and Normal are piss easy and give gear that is oudated after 2 weeks.
