Hello. So battleground Blitz came back after being removed but can no longer que with Healer & DPS Premade but I can que solo as healer but can’t with my premade DPS
edit: After some more testing I found out you can que if both are on the same faction but before it got removed, faction did not matter.
I like being able to queue with a friend that I know will peel for me and actually hit targets that will die or change the outcome of a team fight. If i don’t duo queue I end up playing with people tunneling a blood DK for 10 minutes of the game wondering why nothing is dying and running to the bases that aren’t active in EoTS. 90% of the solo queue i play as DPS there is usually 1 healer who is playing the game with their monitor turned off and then we get steam rolled and spend the remainder of the game playing graveyard simulator.
Actual rating may change this. but for the time being I wouldn’t play the mode anywhere near as much if I couldn’t play with a friend when I queue healer.
If the 2 don’t play as a team sure. but thats no different than people joining as randoms and playing their own game for 12 minutes rather than focusing on objectives and playing as a team. If the 2 people join together with the intention of playing the game to win and as a “TEAM BASED” game I don’t see how its bad for the 6. I’m not joining to pocket heal my buddy. I’m joining with a friend that I know can actually play their class so I don’t have to worry about baby sitting them 24/7.
Nothing worse than healing a bg and then getting flamed for it stale mating cause half your DPS don’t CC healers or attempt to disrupt them, and send every CD of their spell book into the guardian druid spinning flag rather than the warrior that over extended into the back line past all of his healers range or the boomie that pushed in way too deep to try clone someone in your backline.
I was playing at 1900 MMR and this was still happening. This might change with rating sure. Buts its current implementation the players at 1900 are no better than the ones at 1400. MMR seems like its just slapped on without actually being enforced at all currently. The queue time might be longer but the player quality is no different.
My sample size might not be that great 50 or so games but that is my experience so far and this might change at 2k+, but where the majority of players currently play at, that is not the case.
because 1 team will get the 2 friends that want to play together, and the other team gets double r1 rogue basically 97% winratio carrying every bg
if everyone is random its more fair.
doubles carry too hard if they play to win, it will be unfair for the 6, in the enemy team that have just 2 pals trying the game mode or playing alts for lulz
This is definitely a problem, more so now than ever. You only need to join as a healer with a good dps or tank and you’ve just increased the likelihood of winning by a large amount. The 2 can pretty much hold a node on their own against a group of randoms, certainly at least for long periods and these games aren’t that long.
It’s a tough one tho cos mates should be able to play together, I just think there should be join solo or join with friends and be 2 totally seperate queues, but hey that’s just me, I care more about the quality of the game rather than the time it takes to enter so longer queues would be a welcome sacrifice for me.
