Battleground Forfeiting

So while the ability to Forfeit a Battleground obviously shouldn’t be available from the get-go as it would be abused to hell and back. It would be great to see the option added in situations where more than 30% of your team decides to leave.

Especially in Conquest Isle is it a massive problem, if you faction doesn’t get the Hangar in the first push, most of the group will leave. Making it impossible for the remaining players to reorganized and fight back.

So in situations like this, the remaining players should be “rewarded” by allowing to forfeit and call the match early instead of being stuck for 20 minutes while just waiting for the opposite team to win.

Edit: Alternatively, give us an option to opt-out of joining “In Progress”-matches, so that games like that will be ended due to Low Player Numbers. As there is nothing worse than joining a Battleground after a 20 minutes queue, only to see you’re filling a spot for a quitter.

The entire reward system needs to be redesigned. I had presented an idea of how to rework it many months ago. The TLDR version:

  • Honor and Conquest remains (of course) higher for the winning side
  • Conquest for the winning side and Honor for the losing side increased depending on how close the final score was. If the score is very close, both sides get huge bonus. If the score is a landslide for the winning side, the bonus is very small or nonexistent.
    – The intent of this is to both “entice” the winning side to not try to get a landslide victory and also the losing side to not give up, which would make matches more interesting
